(Clearwisdom.net) Here I want to share how we can hold a dialogue with the Icelandic government as a whole, to offer salvation to the Icelandic people.

When Jiang Zemin visited Iceland this June, certain people in the Icelandic government rejected Dafa practitioners appearing on a blacklist. The future of Iceland's people is clouded because of this. We can't say that the decision of certain individuals in a democratic country has nothing to do with that country's people. The people and their leaders in democratic countries have a fundamental connection. To a certain extent, the wrong decision of the Icelandic government reflects on its people.

After we returned from our Iceland trip, for a period of more than ten weeks, some practitioners went to Iceland to tell people the facts and tried various ways to correct the mistake made by [certain people in] the Icelandic government.

On the other hand, our Dafa practitioners around the world as a whole have done far from enough. Oftentimes we are obstructed by ordinary people's notions and cannot break through. For example, when some practitioners plan to clarify the truth through the telephone, by fax and e-mail, the opposing voice is greater than the voice of support. People think too many people sending faxes would be impolite and will anger the government officials and parliamentary members. Of course, some coordination is needed when we are doing these things, but excessive concern will cause obstruction instead. As for how to truly do it well, we lack prudent thinking and proper actions.

In the two months after more than 100 practitioners met with obstruction or detention in their efforts to reach Iceland, we have sent only a small number of letters and made a pitifully small number of phone calls, although the fact is the Icelandic people are waiting for us to offer salvation to them. They are waiting for the truth.

Everyone has a clear-minded side. When we were there in June, out of their innate desire to save their souls, the Icelandic people walked into the street to oppose the government's wrongful decision. The media reported Falun Gong in a positive light and criticized the government's wrong decision. So, can we say that the Icelandic people have already learned the truth?

Reflecting on our experience in Iceland, I think not!

During our visit, Icelandic parliament members and Reykjavik city officials were quick to agree to meet with us, since like the Icelandic people, they also opposed the restraining order against Dafa practitioners and supported our freedom of assembly and speech. Some of them even signed the document that apologized to Falun Gong practitioners. During a talk with them I found that other than being aware that Falun Gong practitioners are very peaceful, they knew very little else. They asked why Falun Gong was persecuted in China, what the truth was behind Jiang's slander, and other questions. If we explain the facts it can help them to truly learn about Dafa and realize the noble deeds of Dafa practitioners, but because of our limited stay in Iceland, we did not have opportunities to explain the facts to more parliamentary members and citizens.

Considering the fact that Dafa practitioners around the world are appealing the slanderous legal case in Hong Kong, we realize that important and great matters in Fa rectification are absolutely not merely the responsibilities of a few people. While Falun Gong practitioners are requesting a dialogue with certain people in the Icelandic government, we should take action, tell the facts to the Icelandic people through any and all channels open to us and encourage these good people to request their government to hold a dialogue with the practitioners.

Citizens of a democratic country have the right to express their will to the government through various means. If the government's decision is to represent its people, then if the people express their will to the government to reverse its actions against Falun Gong, the government's mistake can be corrected. Dafa practitioners are responsible for providing ways to help the Icelandic people to be given a chance at salvation.
