When I went to appeal on Tiananmen Square, I was beaten and taken to the Moshikou Police Station in Beijing. The spiteful policemen there stuffed a rag into my mouth, inserted a lit cigarette into my nose, shocked me using an electric baton, slapped me in the face and kicked me repeatedly. This torture lasted until I lost consciousness. Afterwards, I was sent to the Xiguoyuan No.1 Detention Center in Lanzhou City, in my home province of Gansu. I went on a hunger strike there to protest the persecution, and was brutally force-fed. Later, I was released from the jail.
I am a graduate student, working on my Masters degree at a renowned school in China. I used to believe that atheism was correct until one day, after my mother had died, I was overcome by the presence of a huge energy field in which my mother visited me. I could see her, as well as various scenes in other dimensions, and found that we could actually communicate. I also felt the rotation of Falun, and with it, the ideology of atheism that had previously become a part of so many aspects of my life, suddenly collapsed.
The Power of Dafa -- Two Stories
Xia, a Dafa practitioner, worked at night in order to finish so he could go out of town to pick up some Dafa materials the next day. When he left his workplace, he found that the outer door lock had been broken. If he waited to find someone to fix it the next morning, he would be late to pick up the materials. That night, Xia had a dream in which he flew into the broken door lock and fixed it. The next day, Xia went to work and saw that the door lock had already been fixed. It seems his main consciousness did it in another dimension. Xia happily caught the first bus and picked up the truth clarification materials smoothly.
A practitioner realized her mistake after she had enlightened along an evil path. She experienced great inner turmoil and agony. One day, she left home to do something and met four fellow practitioners in a row, all of whom encouraged her to return to Fa-rectification and not worry about anything. Master would not give up a disciple easily. Meeting four practitioners in one day is not a coincidence. She understood benevolent Master's earnest expectation for disciples who took the wrong step.
Heavenly Calamities and Manmade Disasters
(July 13, 2002) According to the Apple Daily, approximately 1,000 students attending several primary and middle schools in Mishan City (near the Russian border), Heilongjiang Province, suffered from high temperatures and vomiting after they were injected with a vaccine. Some students' hearts were also infected. The situation is very serious. Many angry parents gathered outside the city government building to protest. Some parents even blocked the railroad, demanding that the government punish the responsible officials. Two government officials have already been arrested.
Falun Dafa Overseas
(June 30, 2002, Tokyo) The "Free Asia Channel" reported that on May 23, 2002, the Chinese police illegally arrested Yuko Kaneko, a female Falun Gong practitioner who holds permanent resident status in Japan. They seized her when she was handing out Falun Dafa materials on the streets of Beijing. She is still illegally imprisoned. In order to rescue her, practitioners in Japan have held three press conferences. Members of Japan's House of Representatives are supporting the rescue efforts.
Xingdao Daily, July 11: On Tuesday, the City Council of Berkeley, CA, sent a letter to the Haidian District Government of Beijing calling for an investigation into the reported cases of torture of Falun Gong practitioners in police custody. The letter came after a majority decision by the Peace and Justice Committee of the Berkley City Council to begin discussions on a recent lawsuit filed by Falun Gong practitioners against the Chinese Government in May. Other cities in America have also passed similar motions calling for investigations of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
World Daily, July 11: The City Council of Berkeley, CA, passed a motion on July 9 calling for its sister district, the Haidian District of Beijing, to investigate reported cases of torture of Falun Gong practitioners in police custody. This is the first Californian city to facilitate the improvement of human rights in China through cultural and educational communication channels. Both Beijing University and Qinghua University are located in Haidian District. There are many Falun Gong practitioners from these two universities that are under severe persecution from the Chinese government.
