(Clearwisdom.net) Hiroshima in May is an ocean of flowers. People who have experienced the sufferings of war cherish the peace they now have. The May Flower Festival, hosted jointly by the China Broadcast Bureau and the City of Hiroshima, welcomed 1.4 million visitors. The theme of the festival was "Share life's magnificence and the dignity of peaceful coexistence."
On May 3, over one million spectators waited along Peace Boulevard to
watch the parade. At 1:30 p.m., bright words reading, "Zhen-Shan-Ren" (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) passed before them, disclosing to all the direct path to peace.
About one thousand years have passed since ancient Chinese culture was transmitted to Japan during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. In Japan, that cultural heritage is well preserved. Falun Dafa is another precious gift that practitioners have brought from China to the people of Japan.
Around 200 Falun Dafa practitioners from northern and southern Japan formed an extraordinary and beautiful group, demonstrating to millions of visitors the promise and magnificence of Falun Gong. The spectators watched the beautiful floats, graceful flying deities, lively Yangko dancing (local dancing from northern China), and demonstrations of the gentle exercises with great wonderment.
In the lively Yangko dance, a father and son, two local Falun Dafa practitioners, were the most noticeable. Their miraculous cultivation stories have been spread among the local populace. Their cheerful dance steps expressed their powerful appreciation of Falun Dafa.
Midway down Peace Boulevard was a stage with broadcasting equipment, introducing the different parade groups to the spectators. The local TV station, NHK TV, broadcast the entire scene live. When the beautiful Falun Dafa parade group approached the broadcasting stage, the female M.C. announced in a kind and lively tone, "Now passing before us are Falun Gong practitioners in beautiful dresses. Oh, beautiful heavenly girls are present. Behind them is a beautiful float with three Chinese Characters, 'Zhen-Shan-Ren', 'Zhen' means truthfulness, 'Shan' means compassion, and 'Ren' means tolerance. That means, to be a good person one must be in accord with the principles of 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance'. Falun Gong is an advanced Qigong practice for obtaining excellent health and is widespread in many countries around the world. ... Each week, there is a 2-hour free lesson at Peace Park. Everybody, please go and learn!"
The female M.C. very much appreciated Falun Dafa. She made the same announcement three times during the parade. Her clear and delightful voice reverberated above Hiroshima, and filled the air.
