A practitioner from Taiwan related the following story about Lao Qi, his cousin who had recently passed away.

This morning, Lao Qi appeared in my dream. He was dressed very nicely and was in good spirits. When I woke up, I realized that it was the first anniversary of Lao Qi's death. Lao Qi had begun to read Zhuan Falun but he did not finish reading it nor did he spend time practicing the exercises because he was busy working. He passed away because of a serious illness. A few days before he died, a practitioner saw Lao Qi visiting the place where I practice through his third eye while he was practicing the exercises. Lao Qi was standing aside sadly with tears in his eyes, as if he had regretted that he was so attached to his work that he had missed the precious opportunity to learn the Fa. Nevertheless, he was very lucky to have read a few pages of Zhuan Falun. In my dream, I saw that he would enjoy a very bright future, however he had missed the opportunity to obtain Fa.

"Cultivation is not child's play. It is more serious than anything of everyday people -- it isn't something to take for granted. Once you miss the opportunity, when will you be able to get a human body again in the sixfold path of reincarnation? Opportunity knocks but once. Once the illusion that you cannot let go of disappears, you will realize what you have lost." ("Cultivating after Retirement," from Essentials For Further Advances)
