With His Faith in Falun Gong Unshaken After Two Years of Imprisonment, Freed "Prisoner of Conscience" Shenli Lin Arrives in Canada (Photos)

With the efforts and help from the Canadian Foreign Affairs, Members of Parliament, Amnesty International, and kind-hearted Canadian people, after two years of imprisonment and much suffering in a Chinese labor camp, Mr. Shenli Lin, whom Amnesty International has called a "prisoner of conscience," is finally a free man as he reunites with his wife in Montreal today.

US National Press Club Holds Special Press Conference for Falun Gong

On February 22, the Morning News group of US National Press Club (NPC) held a special press conference for Falun Gong. The topic of the conference was "US Falun Gong Practitioners Were Savagely Beaten and Illegally Detained". David Martin of NPC hosted the conference. Falun Gong spokesperson Zhang Erping gave an overview of the reasons that lead to the peaceful appeal by western practitioners on Tiananmen Square. He stressed that Falun Gong is not just China's issue but an international issue as well. He also called upon the US and the world to pay more attention to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Falun Gong practitioners Scott Chin and Brian Maple shared their personal experiences of being beaten and illegal detention during their stay in China. They emphasized that they did not violate any Chinese laws, nor were they against the Chinese government. They just wanted to let more Chinese people know that Falun Dafa is good and appeal to the Chinese government to stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

Los Angeles Practitioners Successfully Hold Los Angeles Experience Sharing Conference and "Bright Spring" Performance Show

On February 24, Los Angeles hosted the Fourth Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference and its first performance show. Several hundreds of practitioners and people from the local Chinese community attended the experience sharing conference that was held between 9am to 3pm.

Pittsburgh has put the world's most populous nation on notice.

City Council passed a resolution last week telling the People's Republic of China to ease up on practitioners of Falun Dafa - otherwise known as Falun Gong - a [spiritual] group that has run afoul of the Communist country.
