1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Zhu Hongbin Is Brutally Force-Fed in the Daqing Hongweixing Prison -- His Life Is in Imminent Danger
Falun Dafa practitioner Zhu Hongbin from Daqing City served an illegal sentence of "re-education through forced labor" in 2000. After being released, he was arrested again at home and was secretly sentenced to seven years in prison (see previous reports on Clearwisdom.net). Zhu Hongbin was illegally detained in the Hongweixing Prison. A prison team leader by the last name Gu recently brought two people to viciously beat him for no reason, and they also hung him up with ropes for three days. Zhu launched a hunger strike to protest the illegal persecution. The thugs then brutally force-fed him, pouring food into his trachea. As a result, Zhu Hongbin lost consciousness and nearly died. He is now being treated in the Daqing City No. 4 Hospital. The diagnosis is that there is a cyst in his lung as a direct result of the force-feeding.
2. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioners Sui Yumin, Liu Tongling, Song Liying, Wang Hui, Li Jianlin and Others Are Arrested
On August 30, Falun Dafa practitioner Sui Yumin of the Daqing City No. 4 Oil Extraction Factory was held by the police in the Honggang District Detention Center under the pretext of examining her residential identity card. She remains in custody. Early on the morning of September 6, Falun Dafa practitioner Liu Tongling from the Chengsancun area of the Rang District was abducted from her home and taken to the Daqing City Detention Center, where she remains in custody. On September 25, Falun Dafa practitioner Song Liying of the Daqing No. 3 Oil Extraction Factory was arrested by thugs who broke in through her windows. Another practitioner with the last name Hu was also arrested. Falun Dafa practitioner Wang Hui, living at Beilonggang in the Rang District of Daqing City, was arrested at home and her home was ransacked. Her mother Wang Shuhua, who happened to be visiting her, was also arrested.
Falun Dafa practitioner Li Jianlin, male, from the Chengsancun area of the Rang District, was illegally arrested in mid-April at work. He has been transferred to various facilities and remains in custody.
3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Honggang District Court in Daqing City Holds a Secret Trial -- Falun Dafa Practitioners Face Injustice with Awe-Inspiring Righteousness
From 9:40 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on October 11, 2002, the Honggang District Court in Daqing City held a secret trial of female Falun Dafa practitioners Du Chunxiang, Wang Jingcui, Cheng Qiaoyun, and Wu Shunzi. None of the practitioners' family members received notification of the trial. The practitioners walked into the courtroom with their heads held high and shouting, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa!" Throughout the illegal trial, they resisted the evil by refusing to answer any questions. They recited Teacher's poems and sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate evil factors in other dimensions. In the end, court officials resorted to reading the notes taken during previous interrogations. The practitioners immediately pointed out that those notes were taken under illegal torture and thus could not be legitimized. When the practitioners were asked for signatures, they solemnly and firmly refused. They also told those who were present that good deeds and evil deeds each meet their respective reward or retribution.
During the illegal trial, two older bailiffs left and two younger ones were called in. None of the staff had their names displayed and no legal procedure was followed. Under the influence of the strong righteous thoughts of the Falun Dafa practitioners, the trial was ended in a hurry without any verdict.
4. [Chaoyang City] Belated Report: Falun Dafa Practitioners in the Chaoyang City No. 1 Detention Center Participate in Hunger Strikes
It has been learned from sources inside the prison that from December 6, 2001 until February 4, 2002, many Falun Dafa practitioners illegally held in the Chaoyang City No. 1 Detention Center have participated in hunger strikes to protest the persecution. Force-feeding was administered several dozen times. Tubes were inserted into practitioners' stomachs, causing internal bleeding. Practitioners' teeth were loosened as their mouths were pried open for force-feeding. Their bodies were painfully twisted and dark purple bruises resulted. The lives of the Falun Dafa practitioners on hunger strike were placed in imminent danger.
5. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Arrest, Torture, and Extortion of Falun Gong Practitioners in the Brainwashing Center of the Tangshan City Kaiping Police Department
The local public "Law School" is affiliated with the Kaiping Police Department in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. This is in fact a brainwashing center where Falun Dafa practitioners have been illegally held for persecution. Practitioners abducted there have been tied up with ropes, shocked with electric batons, punched and kicked. All three of the daily meals there consist of buns that are spoiled, and not enough food is provided. However, practitioners are charged 1,000 Yuan per month for meals, which is equivalent to two months of income for an average worker. Anyone who wants to be released from the "Law School" has to pay "guarantee bail," which ranges from 4,000 to over 10,000 Yuan.
