Serious Reflections On Deterring the Old Forces' Interference, the Importance of Righteous Thoughts, and Our Responsibilities as Dafa Disciples

(Clearwisdom.net) This weekend some practitioners gathered in our usual group study and we discussed the upcoming visit to the US and Mexico of the evil head. A couple of practitioners shared their understanding of the importance of this visit and that it is extremely important for all practitioners to make their best efforts to join the appeal activities there, which includes sending righteous thoughts in close proximity and clarifying the truth.

At that time, I had not yet decided to go or to stay and I had a number of doubts or lack of certainty as to the seriousness of the trip. After practitioners had spoken strongly in favour of going, I aired the different thoughts and doubts that had been on my mind, such as, "What is important for one practitioner to do may not be important for another...It is not so absolute...lots of things are very important at this time...I think you are attached to purging the evil factors that are controlling the evil head." After I had spoken, I noticed an unusual response--there seemed to be almost unanimous blank stares from my fellow practitioners. The practitioners commented that I seemed emotional and scattered, and one said, "Usually you explain things with a lot of reason but now you seem confused." Another added in agreement, "Yeah, you seem lost."

When I mentioned that others seemed overly excited about this idea, one commented that actually that perception might be rooted in myself.

I calmed down and evaluated these comments. Indeed, what the practitioners were saying was right: at the root of the concerns and doubts in my mind, there was not a grain of rational understanding based on the Fa.

Why had I thought so irrationally and what caused my exaggerated doubts and emotions?

Through looking inward, studying the Fa, and exchanging with practitioners, I came to see that fundamentally, it was my omissions being accentuated by the evil forces.

I also came to see more clearly the solemn importance of the Fa-Rectification stage in front of us and I came to see clearly why the evil forces so violently tried to interfere with my thoughts and make me unclear on this issue. I would like to share my understanding on this.

Why would the head of the evil dare to come to the country where Master lives and where Dafa has become so deeply rooted with so much government support?

Master was first honoured in Houston in 1995, even before he came here. Master's first public lecture in the US was in that city. Chicago is perhaps the largest and most recognized major city to hold a ceremony to honour Master Li. Master personally accepted an award there and this was the last city Master spoke in publicly before the persecution began.

It seems these cities are significant in Master's establishing Dafa here and rooting Dafa in the US/North America. Yet the head of the evil has chosen to attack precisely these two cities.

Given Master's recent articles and the Dafa disciple's article regarding the Book of Revelations, I truly feel "this evil drama has really come to the final stage, where it has the will but not the strength to carry on."("Teaching the Fa at the Washington DC Fa Conference") For the evil head, coming to the US where such a strong righteous field and righteous understanding of Dafa exists seems somewhat like a last ditch effort by a Kamikaze pilot, flying into its enemy in a rage of hatred. Master has said, "Yet the evil beings have already seen that they're doomed, and they are acting more and more madly."["Righteous Thoughts" (updated draft)] The intent is to destroy as many sentient beings as possible and to try to destroy Master's arrangement for the future.

Then isn't how we, as Dafa disciples, treat this issue of the upmost importance? This is also why the old evil forces would want desperately for Dafa disciples to be unclear about the significance and the reality of the current situation and why they make extra efforts to interfere with our thoughts, and make use of our remaining notions and attachments.

Master's most recent article has made clear the enormous and historic responsibility fulfilled through Dafa disciples sending righteous thoughts. Master says, "Dafa disciples are now sentient beings' only, sole hope for salvation."

I hope that all practitioners can fully recognize the magnificent responsibility before us, "...in a timely manner purge the evil and your own problems so that you won't be taken advantage of by the evil." ["Righteous Thoughts" (updated draft)] and do well with what we are supposed to do at this time.

Master said, "To reduce the losses, and to save sentient beings, put your Dafa disciples' powerful righteous thoughts to full use! Show your Mighty Virtue!"

I hope that all practitioners overseas can reflect seriously on our responsibilities and not miss the Fa-Rectification path in front of us due to interference by the old forces.
