Almost every time a fellow practitioner sends money to help pay for truth-clarifying materials, there is a touching story involved.
One college freshman brought us the few hundred yuan spending money that her father had given her for the whole semester, not sparing a dime, and said, "Why not use it for truth-clarification and save a few more people?"
One practitioner, though having only dry bread to eat, forced his money on another practitioner who was doing truth-clarification.
A practitioner saved 150 yuan, his breakfast money for a month under his family's extremely tight budget.
We received a big stack of small bills totaling about 100 yuan. The bills' wrinkled condition bespoke the efforts and the hardship that practitioner had gone through in saving them.
While traveling far from home I met a practitioner who was a business owner. Later I learned that he was quite often on the road for Dafa business. He always brought with him some sweet potatoes and taro roots that he had cooked himself. Sometimes, he would visit bakeries searching for the cheapest loaf of bread. He said, "Everything I have is given by the Fa. Every dime or penny ought to be used for clarifying the truth and saving people. How can I spend the money casually just because it is mine?"
I remember when we brought a television set and a VCR to a remote village to show a video of Master Li's lecture when we were spreading the Fa in early 1996. At noon, the host tried hard to invite us for lunch, "How about a bowl of noodles for everybody? It is no trouble at all." We thanked him and declined. We went to a small restaurant seven kilometers away and each spent one yuan for two baked noodle cakes. The next day when we were showing Master's lecture, a lot more people came. One of the people who were coming in commented, "This is a truly good Qigong. They won't take a penny; where can you find such good people nowadays?" We acted according to Dafa, which helped spread Dafa even faster.
To leave a healthy and proper path for Fa-rectification practice, Master Li has set an example for us. He also let us understand the Fa of being responsible with money. A female practitioner gave the money collected from fellow practitioners to a male practitioner to use for truth-clarification purposes. He did not handle the money carefully and spent a small portion of it improperly. She had a dream that night in which Master pointed out to her, "How can you use the money collected for saving people so casually?" She felt that she herself had not done wrong. But Master told her, "Because you gave the money to him, you are still responsible when he did not do a good job."
When I was illegally arrested last year, in the police car the policemen talked about the Dafa material seen everywhere. One of them said, "Why not just let them (practitioners) do it? They have all either been laid off or fired. As time goes on, they will disappear by themselves." I replied laughingly, "Dafa material will appear continuously until the day that the human world is rectified by the Fa." He said, "You want to bet?" I said, "For sure you are going to lose." Now, a year later, I think he has to admit that he has lost. At that time, the truth clarification material was limited only to some flyers, but now it includes video disks, balloons, banners, loudspeakers, ribbons, sticky notes, pamphlets, greeting cards, envelopes, posters with poetry, etc. Everything in the human world is created and exists for Fa-rectification.
