With the reported deaths of 20 mainland Falun Gong practitioners in only 22 days, Falun Gong practitioners in Toronto joined with practitioners in over 30 cities around the world to hold a 3-day event at their local Chinese Consulate.

Practitioners prepared flyers with the personal information and details of the evil-doers responsible for the death and persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and distributed them to the public. The flyers contained the full names and job titles of the persecutors, their cities, location of their homes, and their cellular and/or work phone numbers. We encouraged the Canadian public to call these criminals and inform them that the world knows of their crimes. When Falun Dafa is redressed in the future, those who aided in this vicious persecution will surely meet their retribution.

On the first day, the media attending our event included a large Chinese language newspaper, one of Canada's two nation-wide TV stations (which has both a very popular news program and a repeating news channel) and Radio Free Asia, which broadcasts directly into China.

By the second evening, one could hear the frequent sounds of car horns of those showing their support as they drove by. The awareness amongst the Canadian public of the Falun Gong issue continues to grow. City TV, one of Toronto's biggest TV stations, covered our event on the second day and aired a very positive report exposing the recent crimes against Falun Gong practitioners and the practitioners' peaceful demonstration, both on the 11:00 o'clock news and on their own repeating news channel, Pulse 24.

Practitioners at the Consulate sent forth frequent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil that persecutes Dafa.

On the first night, a group of policeman were out riding bicycles on patrol, as a notorious gang was apparently in town. The police had nothing to do for a while and decided to join our practitioners at the vigil. There were about 6 or 7 policemen in total. They were very friendly to our practitioners, accepting information and talking with them. Seeing our group and hearing that policemen in China even beat and torture such innocent people to death, the police were really shocked. One said, "Truth, Compassion and Tolerance... Isn't that what everyone wants?" The police even quieted down as practitioners sent forth righteous thoughts. A practitioner thanked the police saying "While all these horrible things are happening to Falun Gong practitioners in China, we appreciate that we have police like you who look over and protect practitioners." A policeman was very touched. He said to a practitioner, "You know, I think this will come to an end. I spent some time with mainland Chinese people recently. They seem like good people." The police stayed with practitioners for a long time and wished them well at the end of the night. A federal police officer was also on patrol and was very kind to practitioners. As these police often watch over practitioners' peaceful appeals, they have come to know us well.

We want those who persecute Dafa practitioners to know that the whole world is standing against their evil deeds. When Falun Gong is redressed, they will surely meet with their retribution.

Great efforts have been made to document those who persecute Dafa practitioners. Legal action is already underway in Canada and the US against those who attack Dafa. We ask the evil-doers to step back and reconsider for the benefit of their own future.

Toronto practitioners will continue with an all-day appeal in front of the Chinese Consulate on Sunday.
