Whereas, the practitioners of Falun Gong in China for the past two years, have been persecuted, arrested, beaten and inhumanely treated;
Whereas, eleven Washington State residents who support the effort to end the plight of those persecuted individuals in China are embarking on a human rights walk from Seattle to San Francisco;
Whereas, these selfless people are showing their concern for and dedication and commitment to the right to practice their faith and have justice re-instated; and
Whereas, this Christian Community cannot sit idly by and ignore human rights abuses, we are hereby presenting this Commendation to the group of freedom walkers and wish them the best of luck in their journey for human dignity, and freedom of practicing their spiritual belief.
