At 12pm on August 20, 2001, 18 Falun Gong practitioners from Los Angeles, San Diego, and Las Vegas came to the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles and started their 24 hour fast. The fast is calling on the Chinese government to immediately release all practitioners who are illegally incarcerated, especially in Mashanjia, Wanjia, and Chang Lingzi labor camps.
