Yang Zhenfang, male, is a fifty-year-old employee of the Mengyin Construction Institute. Because practicing Falun Gong, he was illegally detained by his company for a total of around 40 days in 1999. He was detained for the entire month of November 1999. During the Spring Festival of 2000 he went to Beijing to appeal and was detained for another month. His Party membership was revoked; he was dismissed from his post and was sentenced to two years in prison.
Gong Pijian, male, is a forty-nine-year-old employee of the Mengyin Grain & Oil Corporation. He was detained many times by the local police department for practicing Falun Gong. In March 2000, he was sentenced to three years in a labor camp.
Wang Yong, male, is a thirty-two-year-old employee of the Mengyin Car Transportation Station. He was detained several times by the local police department because he practices Falun Gong. In the year 2000 he went to Beijing to appeal and was detained for an entire month. Later, he was sentenced to three years in a labor camp.
Liu Yuanjie, thirty years old, is a member of the Mengyin Senior Cadre Bureau. In 1999, his company illegally locked him up for over 20 days for practicing Falun Gong. In 2000 he went to appeal in Beijing and was detained for a month. The police sent him back to his company, who again illegally detained him for over two months. In June 2000 he was forced to participate in a "Transformation Class" [note: for brainwashing and torturing practitioners so they will give up Falun Gong -- translator.] where he was brutally beaten. He escaped from the class but was arrested again and sentenced to three years in a labor camp.
Gao Chengxiang is a twenty-eight-year-old male from Mengyin Township, Mengyin County. In 2000 he went to appeal in Beijing and was then sentenced to three years in a labor camp.
Li Dafu, male, is a twenty-eight-year-old worker from the Chaozhuang Coal Mine, Mengyin County. Since he practices Falun Gong, he was sent to a "Transformation Class" in June 2000. He was brutally beaten during the 'class'. In October he was detained for a month; he has since been sentenced to three years in a labor camp.
XXX, is a thirty-five-year-old male employee at the Mengyin Wool Mill. He was sentenced to three years in a labor camp because he went to appeal in Beijing in September 2000. Since his house has been confiscated, his family members are now homeless.
Teng Derong, female, is a forty-seven-year-old employee from the Mengyin Construction Institute. Her company locked her up for 15 days for practicing Falun Gong. In the Spring Festival of 2000 she went to appeal in Beijing and was detained for a month. Her Party membership was revoked and her company fired her. The vicious persecutors still would not release her and continued to torment her. She thus had to leave her hometown.
Song Bingfa, male, forty years old, and his wife, Wang Yongping, thirty, are both employees of the Lanling Winery, Mengyin County. Because they are Falun Gong practitioners their house was illegally broken into, and they were unlawfully detained several times. In 2000 they went to appeal in Beijing and the police detained them for a month. Later they were illegally locked up by the winery for three months. Last July they were again detained, this time for 15 days. In addition, they were dismissed from their posts. The persecutors continued to bully them, so they were forced to leave home.
Teng Defang, female, is a forty-five-year-old employee of the Mengyin Senior Cadre Bureau. In July 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal and was illegally detained by her company for more than 20 days. In November 1999, she was illegally detained for another month. She was sent to a "Transformation Class" for three months in March 2000. Her wages were cut, her Party membership was revoked and she was dismissed from her post. Even so, the vicious persecutors continued to torment her. She is currently wandering about, homeless.
Yang Junhui, female, is a twenty-six-year-old teacher from the Jiuzhai Middle School, Mengyin County. Because she practices Falun Gong, she was brutally beaten in a "Transformation Class" held in Jiuzhai. She was also fined 3,000 Yuan RMB [about 6 months' salary in China]. Currently she is homeless.
Wang Huaning, male, is a forty-two-year-old employee of Daming Stonemasonry, Mengyin County. In June 2000, he was sent to a "Transformation Class" because he practiced Falun Gong. In November of the same year he escaped from the class to avoid the persecution. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
Zhang Rongqiu, female, is a fifty-year-old employee of the Mengyin Rural Credit Cooperative. In July 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal and was illegally detained for 15 days by her company. In December 1999 she again went to appeal in Beijing and was detained for another month. She was sent to a "Transformation Class" in March 2000, where they locked her up for two months. In December she was forced to participate in a county "Transformation Class" once again for another two months. After she paid a fine she was released.
Chu Zengjian is a forty-two-year-old male from Mengyin Township, Mengyin County. Since 1999 he has been illegally detained many times by the township authorities and the local police station. During his detentions he was brutally beaten on numerous occasions. They have fined him over 10,000 Yuan . Now he has been forced to move away from his home and can't take care of his children.
Ji Yongxian and Bian Changping are both from Taoqu Township, Mengyin County. They were detained and fined many times since 1999. During the "Transformation Class" the Township Party Committee's secretary brutally beat them.
Zhang Jinfeng is a fifty-year-old female from the Tanbu Township, Mengyin County. In 1999 she was fined for practicing Falun Gong. In 2000 she went to appeal in Beijing. She was sent back and then detained for a month in a township prison. During the detention, the vice secretary of the Township Party Committee brutally hit her fifty times with a club. The beating almost killed her. They sent her to a hospital for emergency treatment. After seeing that she was critically injured, the persecutors let her family members take her back home. Ironically enough, her family had to pay 12,500 Yuan.
Gong Dianqin is fifty-one-year-old female from Tanbu Township, Mengyin County. She was fined 12,500 Yuan because she appealed in Beijing. Later, the vice secretary of the Township Party Committee, Pan Yushan, brutally beat her. Her lumbar vertebrae were dislocated, she lost consciousness, and was vomiting blood. They sent her to a hospital for emergency treatment. Seeing that she was nearly dead, the vicious persecutors told her family members to take her back home.
Zhang Ronglan, female, fifty-six-years-old, is also from Tanbu Township, Mengyin County. She was fined 12,500 Yuan because she went to appeal in Beijing. Pan Yushan also brutally beat her. During the beatings she lost consciousness. After the torture her body turned black and blue with lumps all over.
All of the practitioners in Tanbu Township that appealed in Beijing were brutally beaten by Pan Yushan. While he was beating the practitioners, Pan swore at them and claimed, "Official documents from the central government allow us to beat you as long as you are alive. It is useless for you to appeal. If you tell others you were beaten, then I will beat you even more." Pan Yushan has victimized about 500-600 practitioners in the Tanbu Township.

Feng Yanxin, female, is a fifty year-old employee of the Mengyin Agricultural Machinery Company. In 2000, her company illegally detained her for 15 days for practicing Falun Gong. They detained her for another 15 days because she spoke out against the slander leveled at Falun Gong in a "Transformation Class." In February 2001, they detained her again for one month. Then they sent her to a "Transformation Class" for four months. During the four months in the "Transformation Class" they inhumanely tortured her; she suffered tremendously. She is currently still in detention.
Gong Yan, is a forty-year-old female from Dongguang area, Mongyin County. She was detained for one month because she clarified the truth of Falun Gong during the 2001 Spring Festival. Afterwards, she was sent to a "Transformation Class" where she was brutally beaten. She lost consciousness during the beatings. After being revived in the hospital, she was kept in illegal detention. She is currently still there.
Feng Guangyun, female, is a fifty-two year-old practitioner from the Mengyin Township Education Committee, Mengyin County. In June 2000, she was sent to a "Transformation Class" because she practiced Falun Gong. During the detention they severely tortured her. In November of the same year, she was detained for another month and was sent to another "Transformation Class," during which time she suffered tremendously. Finally, her family members paid a 5,000 Yuan fine to bring her back home.
Yu Zaihua, female, is a thirty-two-year-old from the Dongrulai area of Mengyin County. In 2000, because she practiced Falun Gong she was illegally locked up in the Mengyin Township hall for three months . During that time, they would viciously hit her. In July 2000, she was sent to a "Transformation Class," where she was brutally beaten. Two months later she was released due to health reasons. In December 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal. As a result, she was detained for a month. After her release, she was arrested again without a justified reason. She is currently being detained in the Mengyin Local Police Station.
Qi Chengrong is a forty year-old female from Douzhuang Township, Mengyin County. She was detained for two months, from October to December 1999 because she practices Falun Gong. So far they have detained her six times and fined her over 12,000 Yuan. Her last detention has lasted four months and is still continuing now. Li Zhiye, secretary of the Political Committee, directed Fang Semin and some other hired thugs to beat Qi Chenglong. They broke her legs and severely injured her waist. After she lost consciousness they sent her to the hospital for emergency treatment. She was unable to take care of herself for several months. Right now she is still in detention and suffering.
Zhao Chuanwen is a thirty-eight-year-old male from Duozhang Township, Mengyin County. He was detained for a month and fined more than 10,000 Yuan in October of 1999 because he practices Falun Gong. The Township government also broke into his home and took all his belongings. At the end of 2000 he escaped to avoid the evil persecution. Now no one knows his whereabouts.
Zhao Chuanwu is a thirty-six-old male from Duozhang Township, Mengyin County. He was detained several times and fined over 10,000 Yuan by the township government because he practices Falun Gong. The Township government also broke into his house and took everything. He escaped to avoid the vicious persecution. Now no one knows his whereabouts.
Liu Naizhi is a thirty-five-old female from Duozhang Township, Mengyin County. The persecutors tormented her for practicing Falun Gong. She is currently homeless; no one knows where she is now.
Liu Peihou is a sixty-year-old female with the Meng Yin Education Committee, Mengyin County. Her company illegally detained her for 15 days because she went to Beijing to appeal in 1999. In November of the same year she went and appealed again and was detained for another month. In March 2000 she was sent to a "Transformation Class" where she was tortured badly.
Liu Zhaolian is from Dongrulai Country, Mengyin County. He was forced to attend a "Transformation Class" because he participated in signature collecting [for a petition appealing to support Falun Dafa -- editor]. Since he did not change his belief in Falun Gong, he was illegally detained for another three months. Later, he was detained again since he wrote a letter asking people to stop the suppression against Falun Gong practitioners. He was brutally beaten many times, and detained for a total of six months.
Sun Pijin, male, is from Dongrulai Countryside, Mengyin County. He was sent to a "Transformation Class" for three months because he practiced Falun Gong. The township supervisors brutally beat him numerous times. His house was also illegally broken into.
Wang Fucheng, male, is also from Dongrulai Countryside, Mengyin County. He went to Beijing to appeal in November 2000 and was detained for a month. In addition, he was fined 5,200 Yuan. In January 2000 he was forced to attend a "Transformation Class" and fined another 12,000 Yuan.
Sun Pihong, male, is from Dongrulai Countryside, Mengyin County. He went to Beijing to appeal in November 1999 and was then detained for a month. In addition, his home was illegally searched. On January 25, 2000, he was forced to attend a "Transformation Class" and was detained for nearly 4 months. During the detention he was brutally beaten many times.
Zu Mingying, female, is an employee of the Mengyin Township Rural Store. She was detained for a month because she went to Beijing to appeal in January 2000. In addition, she was fined 5,000 Yuan. After she was released she was sent to a "Transformation Class" and was fined another 1,200 Yuan. Her monthly wages were also cut.
Sun Fuju, female, is a farmer in Liancheng Township, Mengyin County. She was forced to attend a "Transformation Class" for four months because she participated in a signature collecting activity. In addition, she was fined 1,600 Yuan and her home was illegally broken into.
Sun Futong, female, is a farmer in Liancheng Township, Mengyin County. The Township government illegally detained her for 40 days. They also fined her for 9,600 Yuan. Her house was broken into twice.
Sun Fuhao, male, is a farmer in Liancheng Township, Mengyin County. He was detained for a month because he went to Beijing to appeal in January 2000. In addition, his home was searched and he was fined a large sum of money. He was also sent to a "Transformation Class" where he was brutally beaten. Right now he is homeless.
Lei Weifeng, female, was detained for several months because she went to Beijing to appeal in January of 2000. In addition, they fined her 10,000 Yuan and sent her to a "Transformation Class" for forty days. They brutally beat her during the class.
Tao Yushe, female, is from the Huzhen Second Middle School, Mengyin County. She went to Beijing to appeal in the winter of 1999 and was detained for four months. In April 2000, she was taken from her company and sent to the Jiehu Retirement Home to attend a so-called "Transformation Class." After she was detained for several months, she was sentenced to three years in a labor camp on October 1, 2000.
Zu Yu, male, is from the Shuangquan Country, Yinan Yuanma Yuchi Township. On two occasions, he went to appeal in Beijing. Later on, he was illegally detained for twenty days because he was believed to have been "disrespectful" to the Country Party Committee secretary. After that, he was sentenced to three years in the labor camp.
Nie Hongting, male, is from Dougou Country, Dawangzhuang Township, Qinan County. He went to Beijing to appeal on two occasions. The township party committee illegally detained and beat him often. In addition, his house was illegally searched many times. In 2001, the only remaining jar of wheat was taken away from his house. Then, in February 2001, he was sentenced to three years in the labor camp.
Dou Yonglan, female, is from Dougou Country, Dawangzhuang Township, Qinan County. She went to Beijing twice to appeal. The township party committee illegally detained, beat and swore at her many times. In winter, they even stripped her and forced her to sit on the ground sprayed with water; she suffered this inhumane tortured several times. She is currently homeless.
Qin Hongqin, female, is also from Dougou Country, Dawangzhuang Township, Qinan County. The Township Party Committee illegally detained and brutally beat her many times. She was once beaten to a state of mental disorder and her body was covered with bruises.
Zhang Chunmiao, female, is from Dougou Country, Dawangzhuang Township, Qinan County. She was detained for a month because she went to Beijing to appeal. Afterward, the Dawang Party Committee detained, brutally beat, and swore at her. What's more, they fined her 12,000 Yuan. She escaped from there and is now homeless.
Xu Xiuying, female, is from Jianhu Second Middle School, Qinan County. In April she was tricked into going to the Jiehu Retirement Home to be forcefully "transformed." They didn't allow her to sleep or eat for five days and nights. The torture rendered half of her body immobile. Later her husband brought her back home. In June of the same year, the vicious persecutors from the local police station took them to a "Transformation Class" and detained them for more than 40 days.
Zu Peiyong, male, is from Suijia Country, Yiwen Township, Qinan County. He was detained because he went to appeal in Beijing. In July 2000, he and his wife went to the local police station and talked with the vice-deputy Sun Xian. Sun felt they were being disrespectful during their talk and so he detained them for a month. During their detention, the Township Party Committee secretary and other people searched their house and took all the valuable things. They have not returned any of the stolen property. Their house, having been ransacked, is now in disarray.
Niu Jiacai, male, is from the Qinan Agency of the Lanling Group. He went to Beijing twice to appeal and was detained. Later he was sentenced to a labor camp. Afterwards, for unknown reasons the labor camp sent him back home. He is currently unemployed but he still has to report his whereabouts to his company.
Du Yihe, male, is from the Sucun Township Caiyuan Village, Qinan County. He went to Beijing to appeal and was detained. During the detention, the chief of the local police station choked him with a rope until he was unconscious. They also beat him. In February 2000, they sent him to a "Transformation Class." He is still in confinement.
Yu Shiying, female, is from the Sucun Township Rural Store, Qinan County. She was detained three times and fined many times for practicing Falun Gong. In February 2001 she was sent to a "Transformation Class." To avoid the persecution she escaped from the class by chance. She is currently destitute and homeless.
