[Minghui Net] Recently, after reading an article on Minghui Net, I learned that Hu Qingyun, an appeals court judge in Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, was sentenced to 7 years in prison because of practicing Falun Gong. He was charged with the "illegal" sale of Falun Dafa books. I would like to tell Hu Qingyun's story about how he became a Falun Dafa practitioner and also let those who are medical experts, know about the miracle that happened to Hu Qingyun.
Hu Qingyun had serious leukemia. He had visited all the famous hospitals in China and spent lots of money, but in the end he still could not find a cure. When he stayed in a hospital in Beijing, two medical professors from the China Science Academy bluntly told him that he could only live for two more months. Knowing he was hopelessly facing the last moments of his life and would die soon, he told his family: "I want to go to a quiet place in the remote mountains by myself to cultivate, and to understand the true meaning of life and what people live for."
Master Li Hongzhi has said: "Perhaps everyone has heard this statement in Buddhism: 'When one's Buddha-nature emerges, it will shake 'the world of ten directions.'' Whoever sees it will come to give a hand and help this person out unconditionally. In providing salvation to humankind, the Buddha School does not attach any condition or seek returns, and it will help unconditionally. Accordingly, we can do many things for practitioners."[from Chapter One, Zhuan Falun]
The next day after Hu Qingyun had this thought of going to the remote mountains to cultivate, a Falun Gong practitioner miraculously came and brought to him a Falun Dafa book -- Zhuan Falun. During the time when Hu Qingyun read Zhuan Falun, a miracle happened to his body. He did not die. Instead, he walked out of the hospital and has lived until the present without requiring any medicine.
In January 1999, at the First Falun Gong Experience Sharing Conference in Nanchang, Hu Qingyun was the first person to share his life experience after practicing Falun Gong. He talked about the miracle that Dafa gave to him. His speech brought a long period of applause from the audience. His daughter told him before the conference, "Dad, you should give a speech. Because your life was given back by Dafa, you must sing the praise of Dafa."
Hu Qingyun had been praising Dafa since he started practicing Falun Gong. He introduced Dafa to people of good will. Since Dafa gave him back his life, he never thought of making a single penny from selling Dafa books. Those degraded beings calling themselves "the authorities" cannot understand Dafa practitioners' high moral standards.
During the persecution of Falun Gong at the end of July 1999, Hu Qingyun was put into prison and was not allowed to practice Falun Gong. In the prison, he fell unconscious twice with a bloody nose and his whole body showed symptoms that his leukemia was returning again. Applying medication did not help at all. After insisting on practicing the Falun Gong exercises his condition quickly turned for the better. However, the Nanchang Daily newspaper published a false story that Hu Qingyun's leukemia was due to practicing Falun Gong and that it was the government's medication that healed his disease. After being released on bail, Hu Qingyun immediately wrote appealing letters to the government and the press, asking to correct the false story. The government did not respond to his appeal, instead they threatened him and put him under 24-hour surveillance. Hu Qingyun had to tell the truth to the people through the Minghui Net to expose the evil force's false accusation against Dafa. As a result, he was sent to prison again, and now without any reason, he was sentenced to 7 years in prison.
To all peace-loving people, and just doctors, lawyers and politicians in the world, we appeal for your support of Falun Dafa practitioners, and we appeal for your condemnation regarding those in the Chinese government's inhuman treatment of their own people. Though we have different nationalities and a different skin color, cherishing lives, loving peace and respecting human rights are the common will of every kindhearted person. We are able to live together in this world not only because we have a human form, but also due to our civilized moral standard. To keep this beautiful human living environment we should all condemn the brutal persecution of Falun Dafa because this persecution is actually against the peace and civilization of the entire human society.
