Yu Xiuzhi, female, 59 years old. In mid September of 2000, she visited a fellow practitioner who was released after 7 months of illegal imprisonment. There were also other fellow practitioners present she didn't know. Liu Chunyang and other evil police personnel from the "610 Office"[an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] arrested her and put her into Shuangcheng Detention Center, accusing all of them of "gathering to cause trouble." At the office, several guards tried to brainwash her and forced her to write the "guarantee letter." [a letter to agree giving up practicing Falun Gong] She firmly refused. The authorities assembled her family members to persuade her to write the letter and she refused again. She was released 11 days later. On December 19, 2000, together with another practitioner, she went to Tiananmen Square to display a Falun Gong banner and was arrested and detained at the Tiananmen police department. Later she was transferred to another local police station. For a whole day and night, the police intimidated her to tell them her address. Evil police officer Wang Shengli from Shuangcheng's "610 Office" liaison office in Beijing recognized her later on. Two days later she was sent back to the "610 Office" at Shuangcheng City. Police officer Zhang Guofu and others forced her to write and sign the "guarantee letter." She didn't yield. They later released her. A few days before the Chinese New Year of 2001, when she was doing some chores at home, officer Bai from the Inner Security Section led several people to forcibly bring her to an employee's technical school, which was designated to imprison Dafa practitioners. They again tried to force her to write the "guarantee letter," which she firmly refused. She was released later.
Dai Hongchao, female, 30 years old, twice illegally detained at Shuangcheng Detention Center during 2000. In August 2000, police officer Zhang Guofu from Shuangcheng Detention Center extorted 1,300 Yuan from her (about $150, the average monthly wage of an average urban worker in China is 500 Yuan). On January 21, 2001 she was illegally put into the notorious Wanjia Forced Labor Camp for one year for going to Beijing to for rectifying the Fa.
Gao Ping, female, 30 years old, was extorted 1,500 Yuan by Wu Zelin from Shuangcheng City Tuanjie Township Government on April 1, 2000 and another 1,000 Yuan by Wu on December 9, 2000. In January 2001, Wu extorted more money. This time it was 1,000 Yuan as Wu threatened to confiscate the house certificate. During this period she was twice illegally detained for a total of 30 days. In addition, the township government illegally imprisoned her for another 40 days.
Sun Yuqing, female, 45 years old. In July 1999, instigated by evil people from the township government, police from the local station searched her home and confiscated Dafa books. In the second half of July 1999 she was sent to a brainwashing class for 2 days. On April 29, 2000, she was sent to a brainwashing class for 13 days and extorted 60 Yuan by Wu Zelin. Wang Guiqing, female, 45 years old, was illegally imprisoned for 13 days in April 2000. She was extorted 65 Yuan by Wu Zelin. In November 2000 she went to Beijing for a peaceful appeal. Wu brutally beat her during her stay in Beijing. She was illegally detained for 15 days and extorted 350 Yuan by Liu Hulin from Tuanjie Township. Between January and February 2001, she was illegally imprisoned for 30 days and extorted 200 Yuan by Wu Zelin.
Yang Xiuqing, female, 59 years old. In July 1999, instigated by the evil people from the township government, police from the local police station searched her home, confiscated Dafa books and Teacher's photos. She was sent to a brainwashing class. On March 12, 2000 she went to Beijing to rectify the Fa and was illegally detained for 7 days in the local police station. On April 29, 2000, evil thugs from the township government detained her for 3 days. She was extorted 1,050 Yuan by Wu Zelin during these two detentions. On May 2, 2000 she fled from illegal detention and went to Beijing to rectify the Fa again. She was intercepted and escorted back to Shuangcheng Detention Center. In the meantime, the evil thugs extorted money from her. In August 2000 she was illegally arrested in Beijing when rectifying the Fa and was put into a forced labor camp for one year by people from the "610 Office" of Shuangcheng City. Since 1999, she was sent to brainwashing class for 4 times and extorted 60 Yuan [by personnel of the brainwashing class].
Wang Shuzhen, female, 53 years old. In July 1999, the evil people from the township government and local police station illegally searched her home and confiscated Dafa books. She went to Beijing to validate Dafa in December 2000 and was escorted back to Shuangcheng Detention Center. She was imprisoned for 18 days. She was extorted 650 Yuan by Xu Dongsheng of Shuangcheng Detention Center. Between January and February 2001, the evil thugs illegally brought her to the Township Government to take the brainwashing class for 33 days. Her house certificate was taken away as a "guarantee" and has not been returned till now. In March 2001, the thugs lured her again into the Township Government brainwashing class for 13 days.
Wang Guihua, female, 34 years old, was forced to take the township brainwashing class 3 times in the between August 1999 and June 2000. She was extorted 65 Yuan by Jiang Shufan and Wu Zelin and was illegally imprisoned in Shuangcheng Detention Center during the Chinese New Year of 2000. In December 2000 she went to Beijing to validate Dafa. She was escorted back and illegally imprisoned in Shuangcheng Detention Center. Later she was transferred to the notorious Wanjia forced labor camp for one year. She was extorted 1,500 Yuan by Sui Guangde and Wu Zelin from Tuanjie Township. On January 21, 2001, the village officials confiscated 20.5 mu [about 3.41 acres] contracted farmland from her and thus deprived her family of a means of making a living. She was extorted up to 3,700 Yuan for appealing in Beijing. At the illegal brainwashing class held by the township government, male and female were detained in the same room and not allowed to sleep. During the illegal detention at Wanjia forced labor camp, she and other practitioners were brutally beaten because they practiced the exercises together. Some had to stay in bed for many days because of the beating, had bruises all over and some fainted.
Dai Huiqiang, male, 31 years old. On July 1999, the evil people from the township's government and local police station illegally searched his home and confiscated Dafa books. He went to Beijing to appeal in December 2000 and was illegally detained in Shuangcheng Detention Center for 18 days. He was extorted 650 Yuan by Wu Zelin from Township Government and Xu Dongsheng from Shuangcheng Detention Center. During the Chinese New Year of 2001, township thugs forced him to participate in a brainwashing class for 33 days. His house certificate was taken away as a guarantee and not been returned till now.
Zhao Guangxi, male, 37 years old, was illegally detained in Shuangcheng Detention Center for going to Beijing to appeal in November 1999. He was illegally imprisoned at Shuangcheng Detention Center for going to Beijing to appeal again in June 2000 and was extorted 3,700 Yuan by Zhang Guofu from Shuangcheng City"610 Office." In December 2000, Zhao Guangxi went to Beijing to appeal for the third time and was illegally imprisoned at Shuangcheng Detention Center. Later he was sent to Harbin City's forced labor camp for one year. Instigated by the guards, the common criminals brutally beat him and severely injured him. The Township and Village Government also confiscated his contracted farmland and sold it to others. The village government wrote a bill of 7,000 Yuan under his name, which is a so-called "fine" for appealing in Beijing and also a bill for the expenses to hire people to watch him.

During the Chinese New Year of 2001 she was illegally imprisoned for 30 days in the name of a brainwashing class and extorted 850 Yuan by Wu Zelin.
Li Xiufang, female, 34 years old, was illegally detained at the Tuanjie Township facilities in April 2000. She was extorted 65 Yuan by Wu Zelin from Tuanjie Township. In June 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal and was illegally detained for 15 days at Shuangcheng Detention Center. During this period she suffered inhuman treatment. Zhang Guofu from "610 Office" of Shuangcheng City also extorted 1,200 Yuan from her. During the Chinese New Year of 2001, she was illegally imprisoned for 30 days in the name of a brainwashing class and extorted 1,800 Yuan by the evil thugs from the township government.
Li Chunfu, male, 60 years old, was forced to take the brainwashing class at Tuanjie Middle School for 7 days on December 11, 2000. He went to Tiananmen Square to validate Dafa on December 3, 2000 and was brutally beaten by evil police officer Wu. When Mr. Li came back home, the evil thugs took his house certificate as a guarantee and have not returned it till now.

During the Chinese New Year of 2001, the evil thugs illegally detained them for 30 days in the name of a brainwashing class and extorted 800 Yuan.
Li Shuqi, male, 61 years old. From April 29 to May 12, 2000, the scoundrels of Tuanjie Township illegally took him into custody. Wu Zelin from the township extorted 65 Yuan from him. From June 23 to June 26 the practitioner was illegally held in custody. During the Chinese New Year of 2001, under the guise of a brainwashing class, the scoundrels of this township illegally detained him for 33 days. On August 13, 2000 she went to do hongfa at the village market where local police station personnel arrested and sent her to Shuangcheng Detention Center where she had been illegally detained for 15 days.
Li Cairong, female, 33 years old. On November 4, 2000, she went to Beijing to validate Dafa and was intercepted in Changchun City. Changchun police confiscated her train ticket. On the way back to Shuangcheng City, Wu Zelin beat and kicked her, and didn't allow her to sleep until the next morning. She was sent to Shuangcheng Detention Center and illegally detained there for 15 days. During the detention period she endured inhuman tortures and filthy words by the interrogation personnel. Wang Shengli and Wu Zelin extorted 600-Yuan from her.
Tian Jinxian, female, 52 years old. On August 13, 2000 she went to do hongfa at the village market. The local police arrested her and sent her to Shuangcheng Detention Center where she had been illegally detained for 15 days. Villains Xu Dongsheng, Yang Songmin cursed her and beat her with their fists. Villains Wang Shengli and Wu Zelin also extorted 55 Yuan from her.
Zhou Tingwen, male, 53 years old. On August 13, 2000, he was doing hongfa at the village market where he was illegally arrested by people from the local police station and sent to Shuangcheng Detention Center for 15 days of illegal detention. Wang Shengli and Wu Zelin extorted 700 Yuan from him. On June 23, 2000, he was arrested by persons from the townships police station and illegally put in custody for 4 days.
Guo Zhenlong, male, 53 years old. He went to do hongfa at the village market where he was illegally arrested by the police from the police station and sent to Shuangcheng Detention Center for 15 days of illegal detention. Wang Shengli and Wu Zelin extorted 500 Yuan from him. During the Spring Festival of 2001, the township government illegally detained him for 33 days in a brainwashing class.
Wei Xiuxia, female, 44 years old. She went to Beijing to validate Dafa on November 4, 2000, and was intercepted in Changchun City. Changchun police officers confiscated her 85-Yuan ticket to Beijing. On the way back to Shuangcheng, Wu Zelin beat and kicked her and did not allow her to sleep. She was asked to sit on the floor for three hours until the next morning. Following that, she was sent to Shuangcheng Detention Center for 15 days of illegal detention. Wu Zelin also extorted 600 Yuan from her. Furthermore, the township government suspended her house certificate, which has not yet been returned. On February 26, 2001 she was forced to attend a brainwashing class for 13 days.
Han Shuangqin, female, 41 years old. On July 26, 1999 the township government ordered the local police station to forcibly search her home. The police confiscated Dafa books and Teacher's portrait. On June 28, 2000, under the instigation of the township government, village thugs illegally detained her for four days.
Shi Dexiu, female, 61 years old. On July 26, 1999 the township government ordered people from the local police station to forcibly search her home. They confiscated Dafa books. On May 2, 2000, she was illegally detained for ten days by the township government, and extorted 45 Yuan by Wu Zelin. On June 23, 2000, she went to Beijing to rectify the Fa. On the 25th, she was forcibly escorted back to her village and had been illegally detained for 5 days. She was extorted 600 Yuan by Zhang Guofu.
Li Guilan, female, 61 years old. On July 26, 1999, the township government directed the local police station to forcibly search her home and confiscate her Dafa books. On May 2, 2000, she was illegally detained for ten days and extorted 45 Yuan by Wu Zelin. On June 25, 2000, she went to Beijing to rectify the Fa. She was forcibly escorted back to the Shuangcheng Detention Center and illegally detained for 15 days. She was extorted 200 Yuan by Shuangcheng detention center police Yu Hongzhi.
Zhao Xiuqin, female, 36 years old. On July 26, 1999, the scoundrels of the township government directed officers from the local police station to forcibly search her home and confiscated Dafa books. Between January and February 2001, she was forcibly arrested and illegally detained for 24 days. She was extorted 200 Yuan by Wu Zelin.
Sun Huishan, male, 40 years old. On September 6, 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal and was taken back by police officers from the township station and been illegally detained for 18 hours. Ren Jiucheng from the township government extorted 2,000 Yuan from him. In February 2000, before he left for Beijing to rectify the Fa, he was illegally arrested and detained by the local police station for 7 days. In March, he was forcibly detained for 23 days again and extorted 120 Yuan by Wu Zelin. On April 30, 2000, during his township government-ordered detention period, he ran away and went to Beijing to rectify the Fa, but was intercepted on the way and sent to Shuangcheng Detention Center. In May, Wu Zelin extorted 800 Yuan from him. On June 23, 2000, the practitioner went to rectify the Fa in Beijing where he was arrested as he practiced the Falun Dafa exercise on Tiananmen Square. Afterwards, he was sent to Shuangcheng Detention Center and illegally detained for 37 days. Later, he was sent to a forced labor camp. The local scoundrels illegally searched his home and stole his 4-wheel motorcycle, a color TV and illegally fined him 1,000 Yuan. (That sum represents more than three months income for a person living in rural China) Wu Zelin extorted 1,300 Yuan from him. In January 2001, when the illegal, forced labor term ended, Wu asked him if he would still practice Falun Gong. Because the practitioner answered, "I will," he was detained for another 33 days. In March, he was again taken into custody for 15 days. Between February and March of 2001, Wu Zelin extorted money from him twice, for a total of 2,700 Yuan. The sum of 1,500 was in the form of an I.O.U. [a signed acknowledgement of debt]
