A 1,200 kilometre walk from Sydney to Brisbane ended today for six supporters of the spiritual movement, Falun Gong.
The group carried out the trek to protest the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.
They were welcomed into Brisbane at a rally where a Falun Gong practitioner, who wanted only to be known as 'Jennifer', spoke of her torture in China for following the spiritual movement which believes in truth, compassion and forbearance.
"I was electric shocked, beaten and dragged on the floor," she said.
"I was unconscious and the worst thing is, I was forced to watch and hear the voices of others being tortured.
"This type of suffering and horror is beyond description."
