San Francisco Examiner: China strong-arms S.F.

ALTHOUGH the title is misleading, your article on the Falun Gong depicts very well how the pro-[party's name omitted] worked together with the San Francisco Chinese Consulate to manipulate a public hearing in our very own city on U.S. soil ("Board says no to Falun Gong," The Examiner, Oct. 18).

As an American, I can't help but alert my fellow San Franciscans as well as elected officials that San Francisco is not a colony of the People's Republic of China. We should not succumb to pressure from the PRC government.

Today, we failed to support a resolution on human rights of Americans. What will be next?
