With blisters on their feet and legs aching, six dedicated Falun Gong Practitioners have left the Tweed on the final stretch of their 1000km walk for justice.

The group is walking from Sydney to Brisbane to raise awareness about the Chinese Government's crackdown on Falun Gong followers.

Speaking from the Gold Coast Highway yesterday, Patrick Kwong said the group left Sydney on September 1 and aimed to arrive in Brisbane on Friday, where it will hold a press conference to speak about their 1000km crusade.

Mr Kwong was disappointed they would not be able to deliver letters to leaders attending the postponed Commonwealth heads of Government Meeting.

Falun Gong is a spiritual practice that focuses on improving the body, mind and moral nature through exercises, meditation and living according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance.
