Dear Sir,

I am writing to you in connection to the commitments undertaken by Premier Zhu during his recent visit to bring up Zhao Ming's case with the "relevant judicial authorities". We strongly urge that you continue to seek Ming's return to Ireland and we are certain the Irish people will be grateful for your efforts.

We have recently received unofficial reports that Ming is in bad health and that one of his legs is injured. Taking this into consideration and the year and a half he has already spent interned in labour camps, his speedy release and return to Ireland are of utmost concern to us.

Yours Sincerely,

á

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you in connection to the commitments undertaken by Premier Zhu during his recent visit to bring up Zhao Ming's case with the "relevant judicial authorities". A member of the Friends of Zhao Ming, Ger O'Connor, met you on Trinity's campus last week and you assured him that you were pursuing Ming's case through the relevant diplomatic channels.

Jim Dowling
