In the middle of December, five of us came to the Maldives to promote Dafa. There are many islands in this country. We promoted Dafa on nine islands. People here are very pure and warm-hearted. Our visit brought surprise and happiness to the residents.
For many people here, it was their first time learning about Falun Dafa. It still touched us when they praised and welcomed Dafa. On the first day, when we went to streets to distribute flyers and calendars that have Dafa information, surprisingly we were surrounded by local people. Cars, motorcycles and peddlers all slowed down. People inside the car stuck out their hands and requested materials. One practitioner had to hold the materials and let people take them on their own. Soon after, more than one thousand copies were passed out. Suddenly, the names "Falun Dafa" and "Falun Gong" were heard everywhere.
After reading the material, many residents praised Falun Dafa and showed interest in learning the exercises. One resident was touched while looking at the practice pictures on the flyer and said: "This is what I have long searched for". A group of young people surrounded one practitioner. When they learned that we voluntarily came here just to promote Dafa and we ourselves paid for the trip, they held this practitioner's hands and said, "Thank you so much. Thank you so much for bringing us such a wonderful Dafa".
We also met a local doctor on one island. When we gave him the Dafa material and flyers about how the Chinese government banned and persecuted Falun Gong practitioners, he told us that he knew our master is a saint and he is here to save people. He is pleased to see so many people practicing Dafa. Lastly he requested to have the book "Zhuan Falun."
In the fishing islands, many children ran to us and took the balloons imprinted with "Falun Dafa". They innocently learned how to say, "Falun Dafa, Falun Dafa." They even passed out the flyers and calendars to their families.
During this activity, we distributed a large amount of Dafa materials. Lots of Dafa books, VCDs of the Dafa exercise instruction and nine-day lecture, and other related materials were given to these pre-destined local people as presents. We taught the exercises on boats and resort villages. Wherever we went, we played the music of "Pudu" and "Jishi" and walked around the island. Some people liked the Dafa music. We then gave them the music tape.
We also met some visitors and workers from other places. They all longed to know more about Falun Dafa. Some asked whether there was Falun Dafa in their countries. When they learned that we were just about to go to their country and promote Dafa there, they left the addresses and phone numbers of their friends and families and helped us a lot.
Although we encountered many difficulties during this activity, we came to know a country and a nation's longing toward Dafa. We feel that the mission to help our master promote Dafa in this human world is sacred and great.
