Zhazidong (A jail in Sichuan Province notorious for its inhuman devices used to persecute revolutionaries back in the 1930's and 1940's) brutality re-appears in the world---policemen from Renminlu Police Station in Shiyan City, Hubei Province torture helpless, elderly people.
I am not a Falun Gong practitioner, but I am a person with a conscience. I have witnessed some of the crimes committed by the authorities from the Renminlu Police Station deliberately inflicting harm on innocent citizens for their own pleasure and gain, claiming that they are merely "following through with the orders to suppress Falun Gong". I would not be able to find peace in my heart if I didn't speak out to expose their crimes to the world:
An elderly person was tortured for no reason,
Her human rights were severely violated
Early on the morning of October10th 2000, the police officers arrested an old lady, simply for being a Falun Gong practitioner. There was no interrogation, nor was there any declaration of charges after the arrest. Instead, the lady was immediately handcuffed to a pole with her arms behind her back (this is referred to as, "carrying a sword on the back".)
They took turns hitting her on the head with a broomstick for up to 4 hours. They only let her down when her appearance was no longer recognizable. They then viciously kicked her chest. They left her hands cuffed behind her back for the entire day.
In the end, the old lady was charged for being a Falun Gong "xx" [slanderous word] practitioner and was sent to a detention center where she was detained for one month. At the time of her "release" she was detained again in the police station for an additional 15 days. Her family was forced to pay 3,000 Yuan (approx. 6 months of average Chinese income) for her release.

Innocent elderly practitioners tortured as a result
At 6:00am on October 11th, 2000, another elderly practitioner was arrested while she was sleeping at home. This woman lived alone and her children were not around.
Upon entering the police station two wicked policemen began beating her.
They slapped the lady on the face until their hands started to hurt. They then continued slapping using the book (Zhuan Falun). Her teeth fell out and her face was badly bruised. She was forced to kneel on the floor. Then they began to kick her and to step on her toes and legs with their boots. Her whole body was red and swollen and not an inch of healthy looking skin remained. The abuse lasted their entire shift, which was from 6:00am until noon.
When their shift was over, they left the old lady with her arms handcuffed behind her back until 6:00pm. She was then locked up in the detention room. By that time she had wounds all over her body and both of her hands and arms were bleeding, bruised and swollen. It was hard to look at her. At noon the next day, they sent her to a detention center where she was jailed for one month.
From 6:00am on October 11th, until noon the following day they did not allow this old woman to drink any water, to eat any food, or to have even a minute of sleep for the entire 30-hour period. The pain, cold, thirst, hunger, and tiredness that this over 60-year old lady had to endure is beyond our imagination. It is difficult to find words to describe it.
I want to ask these "policemen": "Have you ever stopped to think for a moment when you raise your hands at an innocent elderly citizen, who may even be older than your own parents? Weren't you born and raised by your own mother? Are you still a human being? I know your brutality arose from the desire for more money. Last May, you arrested this same old lady and imposed a heavy fine on her family for her release from the police station. This time you played the same trick, and detained her in the station after she was released from the detention center and again demanded money from her family for her release. Indeed you have profited 9,000 Yuan from her hard-earned retirement savings. Let me tell you, however, what you are losing is much more! When you spend this money that you have stolen with a greedy heart, have you ever pondered what the consequences might be for yourself? Is there any conscience or human morals left in you? You intentionally abuse the innocent with the excuse of "safeguarding the country and the people?"
Zhazidong type brutality used on citizens,
Heaven and earth will not tolerate this
It used to be advocated that the "People's police care for the People". Yet, what I have witnessed myself are scenes of the "People's police abusing the People".
A lady in her 40s was brought into this "Contemporary Zhazidong" (referring to the Reminlu police station), and was beaten by 7 policemen until she lost consciousness. They poured cold water on her in order to wake her up. With her arms handcuffed behind her back, she was forced to lie on the ground face down, with a guard sitting on a stool placed on her back. Seven policemen took turns torturing her. She was hung up, sat on, beaten, kicked and cursed for 2 days and 2 nights. She passed out many times from the torture. Her whole body was covered with wounds and bruises as a result. She was then detained in the detention center.
Another victim I encountered was a 30-year-old woman. After being arrested for appealing in Beijing, she was brutally beaten by the two police chiefs at the station. They slapped her hard and cursed her. They forced her onto the ground, and made her crawl and bark like a dog. They kicked her buttocks as she crawled all the way out of the station, then detained her in a detention center.
In the detention center, I came across a young man, about 30 years old, whom I already knew. His surname is Cai. However, I could no longer recognize his face, which used to be very young and handsome. Only through his calm and peaceful voice did I realize whom he was. He could not raise his arms, and his face was all black and blue. I couldn't imagine what must have happened to him at that station.
There are countless cases like these. Dozens and dozens of Falun Gong practitioners who were arrested by the Renminlu Police Station endured extremely vicious and inhumane torture without any exception.
All the Falun Gong practitioners that I have come across are truly good people in this world. They only do good deeds and always consider others before themselves. They are disinterested in personal fame and profit, and are committed to acting in accordance with the principle of "Zhen-Shan-Ren" ("Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance", the fundamental teaching of Falun Dafa). Those vicious policemen who have brutally tortured these good people, surely have lost all of their conscience and human morals. They will, one day, receive the punishment they deserve.
