Dear Mr. Ambassador,
Quite recently I was sent literature concerning Falun Dafa, and must admit that I had never heard of this Falun Gong (Falun Dafa) organization before. However, the content has come as quite a shock and I find it difficult to comprehend as to why the authorities of China are reacting as they are towards Falun Dafa.
The teachings of Falun Dafa are similar to the teachings of the Chinese philosopher and teacher Kung chiu (or Kung Futzu, Better known as Confucius-- 5th & 6th century BC). They also bear resemblance to the teachings of Siddhattha Guatama (the historical Buddha), and the "sermon on the Mount" given by Jesus Christ.
Why do the powerful authorities of China fear this harmless group of people who are the disruptive equivalent of great-grand parents and newborn babies.
The self-interested politicians and scientists who sought to advance their careers by discrediting Falun Dafa and turning the government against it have done your country, people and government a disservice and have tarnished the reputation of the great Republic of China.
The Falun Dafa practitioners in China are an inspiration to the entire world as it struggles to find peaceful solutions to its rampant political problems and other forms of unrest and instability.
It has always been believed that a single country could rise and lead the rest of the world into peace. China could be this country through Falun Dafa.
The government's recent crackdown on Falun Dafa reminds me of the "Brown Shirts" and "SS" officers of Hitler's regime. This is most unfortunate and nothing to be proud of Mr. Ambassador.
Thank you for your tolerance sir. The teachings of Falun Dafa come from an enlightened mind. I am certain Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder, is an enlightened person.
