TNT Radio Station at Taipei held a grand New Year's party at Gengxin Culture and Education Auditorium on the evening of December 30, 2000, to express gratitude toward its staff and customers. The party attracted over a hundred attendees, including radio station staff, friends, listeners and people in cultural and educational circles, who had gathered together to reminisce about the past and to welcome in the New Year. Entertainment programs were also enjoyed by all during the evening party.
In the four months since the broadcasts of Falun Gong programs first began on TNT, many listeners have gradually become aware of the cultivation of Falun Gong. In addition, the many detailed reports from major news media on the activities of the Asian-Pacific Falun Gong Conference last week, and the upsurge of Falun Gong all over Taiwan have served to raise the awareness of Falun Gong among the entire population.
During this evening party, fifteen minutes were specially arranged for Falun Gong practitioners to demonstrate the five sets of exercises on the stage. Twenty practitioners, in light yellow exercise clothes, calmly and gently stepped onto the stage with uniform paces. As the exercise music became louder, the noisy crowd, once bustling with activity and conversation, became suddenly hushed. The director went on the stage and gave a brief introduction to Dafa. All of the staff in charge of sound effects stepped down from the stage to enjoy the Falun Gong practitioners' demonstration. Some of the audience immediately began learning the exercises, and others became engaged in quiet discussions about Falun Gong.
During the Fa-rectification period, practitioners around the world use the various social activities of everyday people to spread Dafa, with the expectation of allowing people to understand Dafa in a positive way, and widely spreading the truth about Dafa through the most easily accepted public channels.
"...when this Fa-rectification matter is over, humankind will enter the next stage, and those people and beings who have in their minds 'the Dafa of the cosmos isn't good' will be the first eliminated. It's because they're worse than the worst beings in the cosmos, for what they're against is the Fa of the cosmos. So when we're clarifying the truth, we're eliminating some people's evil thoughts towards Dafa. Haven't we saved them at least when it comes to this? Since in the process of your clarifying the facts there are people who obtain the Fa, not only is that sin of theirs eliminated, but at the same time you will have saved them."
