On Christmas Day, December 25, 2000, at Tiananmen Square, Falun Dafa practitioners displayed their great benevolence, while the followers of Jiang Zemin fully exhibited their cruel viciousness.
Beginning at 9 AM, four to five banners saying "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Falun Dafa is Innocent" were unfurled in the square at the same time. Practitioners were immediately forced into three police vehicles. At 9:10 AM, seven or eight policemen dragged another two practitioners toward a police vehicle after they unfurled banners, and plainclothes policemen continuously kicked them. At 9:20 AM, quite a few practitioners unfurled red and yellow banners in front of the national flagpole. There were also two practitioners spreading flyers to the crowds. In order to extend the time and tell more people that "Falun Dafa is good," several young male practitioners ran through the crowds of tourists while holding up their banners and shouting, "Falun Dafa is good." Four to five policemen and plainclothes agents surrounded one practitioner, punching and kicking despite the fact that many domestic and foreign tourists were watching.
Before they went to Tiananmen, many practitioners enlightened that they should not tolerate the evil. They refused to get into the police vehicles. Then several policemen dragged and kicked them in order to force them into the cars. They even did the same thing to kids. They seemed to have the sense to keep their image so they drove the police vehicles toward the crowds to scatter them. At that time, beatings innocent people could be seen everywhere at Tiananmen Square. At 9:40 AM, more practitioners unfurled banners, shouting and running through the square. This time, most of them were female practitioners. Then there was another round of vicious beating.
While holding a several-month-old baby and an 8 or 9-year-old boy, a middle-aged woman shouted, "Falun Dafa is good." Several young plainclothes policemen dragged them into the car and one continuously kicked the boy's legs. Many female practitioners refused to be dragged into the cars and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" at the same time. The policemen wrapped their arms around the practitioners' necks, gagging them with cloth, and threw them into the cars. Before they closed the door, they viciously kicked the practitioners backs. A plainclothes policeman even threw a female Hong Kong tourist into a police car. Fortunately, her fellow tourists stopped him. A lot of female practitioners opened the windows and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good" after they were forced into the car. Two middle-aged plainclothes policewomen and several plainclothes policemen punched and kicked fiercely and wrapped their arms around the practitioners' necks in front of numerous tourists. At 9:50 AM, four plainclothes policemen rushed toward a young female practitioner who unfurled a banner. One strangled her neck with his arm. Meanwhile, many old female and young practitioners unfurled banners and shouted, " Falun Dafa is good." Some tourists took photos or videotaped the scenes. Policemen exposed one foreigner's film. They forced one female foreigner into a police car to check her videotape, which brought much concern from a dozen of her fellow tourists.
