At 9AM this morning, Chinese President Jiang Zemin hosted a breakfast meeting with American media in the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City. All windows in the conference hall were securely covered by black curtains. A CNN reporter, Williams, accidentally opened a corner of the curtain and discovered that there were several hundred Falun Gong practitioners across the street demonstrating the exercises, handing out flyers, and teaching the exercises to the people passing by. The street across the hotel was covered with Falun Gong banners and flags. Williams immediately opened the curtain and turned the camera, which was facing Jiang, around towards the street. Several other reporters nearby also came over. For a moment, there was chaos in the conference hall. Several Chinese government officials rushed over trying to grab Williams camera. At this moment, three policemen came over to stop the action of Chinese officials. However, Williams was forced to leave the conference under the demands of the Chinese officials.

Williams walked across the street and came among the practitioners and interviewed Falun Gong spokesperson. He also reported what had just happened on CNN.
