[China] "The transformation class" turned into an "experience-sharing class"; the organizers of the "transformation class" were transformed instead
In a city in China, about 1,000 practitioners got arrested around August 18. All of them were forced to attend the "transformation class".
According to the news sources, the police had divided the practitioners in that city into two groups beforehand. The first group included those determined and active practitioners, which had about 1,400 practitioners. The second group included about 1,700 practitioners who were considered to be "inferior" to the first group by the police and the government. However, most practitioners became aware of the governmental conspiracy and left home beforehand in order not to be easily taken away. Therefore, only in a few districts did a relatively large number of practitioners got arrested.
The police arrested many practitioners belonging to the second group in order to fill the quota. It took the police a lot of efforts to arrest these 1,000 practitioners. These 1,000 practitioners were all detained in a hotel and forced to attend the "transformation class". The police announced to them that whoever refused to be transformed (namely, refuse to give up Falun Gong and refuse to write the pledge) would be forced to attend the 3-month long "transformation class" and would then be sent to labor camp if they still refused to be transformed after that.
Unexpectedly, these 1000 practitioners stayed together and had the opportunity to exchange their experiences with each other. The "transformation class" turned into an "experience-sharing class". The organizer of the "transformation class" said, "We could not transform them, instead, they transformed us. They all have a glib tongue. We could not persuade them to give up Falun Dafa..." The police and the government became extremely angry with this and then transferred these 1000 practitioners to their local areas to be "transformed".
Now, in order to save trouble, the police and the government assigned the street offices and residential committees to question the practitioners whether they would continue to practice Falun Gong or not. All practitioners who expressed their determination to continue practicing Falun Gong would be directly sent to labor camps without attending any "transformation class".
[Shijiazhuang] Practitioners Ding Yan and Gu Lina were Sentenced with 4 Years of Imprisonment
Practitioner Ding Yan was sentenced with 4 years of imprisonment and transferred to the second jail in Hebei Province from the first detention center. The government was afraid that her family's visits would have some "bad" effects on her and then transferred her for a second time to the Chengde Jail.
Practitioner Gu Lina was recently sentenced with 4 years of imprisonment. Ms. Gu had appealed to the court but had no result.
On July 13, 2000, practitioner Lu Hugang, male, 28, an employee of the Steel factory in Shijiazhuang City, got arrested while distributing the materials on the truth of Falun Gong to the passersby in front of the building of Hebei Daily and got detained in the first detention center thereafter. After Mr. Lu got detained, he suffered all kinds of tortures for refusing to provide the police his information. Therefore, the detention center had to call him "Falun Gong" when calling the roll. Moreover, the police took a lot of photos of him and distributed his photos to all police stations in order to recognize him. Later, practitioner Lu Hugang was recognized by his local police station. He was sentenced with 2 years of forced-labor on August 2, 2000.
Moreover, according to the news sources, some police told the practitioners, "Falun Gong practitioners, please do not put any Falun Gong materials downloaded from the Internet in your home. You may put them in somewhere else. Then we would not find any evidence when we search your home,..."

My father is not a practitioner. He could use the computer. He likes to connect onto the Internet very much. Then I set up the proxy well and save the Falun Dafa websites and other righteous websites into the "bookmarks". One day, he was so excited and told me that he connected to a website about Falun Dafa. However, he was afraid of viewing it. Now he likes to view the Boxun Net very much. He would view it whenever he connects to the Internet.
My father works in a law-execution department. Before, he would curse Teacher Li like many other everyday people who do not know the truth of Falun Dafa. Now, when he calms down, he can tell the good from the bad. He knows that practitioners are good people. He also said that if he were to handle the trial of practitioners, he would give them the lightest sentence possible.
He even earnestly told me that he would save money to send me aboard so that I could practice Falun Gong freely. Later, he told me that Falun Dafa practitioners would be liberated if a new leader is in charge. When I wrote this letter, he said to me, "I found the Falun Dafa materials that you stored in the computer. I had thought of deleting those articles. But I gave up that thought, since you might need to read them again in the future." He could have such a thought. I felt very happy for him.
It took some time for him to change his attitude towards Falun Dafa. I realized that many everyday people know well in their hearts the good and the bad. However, people often did not dare to tell the truth when facing all kinds of pressures.
In China, we feel people's hearts are changing. As time goes by, many people could calmly accept the truth of Falun Gong when being told about it. We feel very much encouraged by these changes.
[China] The Government Tried to cover up the crime
Recently, the fabricated news that Ms. Zhao Xin got injured by "committing suicide" was circulated among the education system. There appeared many weird explanations on how Zhao Xin committed suicide, such as jumping out of the building, and bumping against the wall, etc. Many teachers did not even know who Zhao Xin was, and were forced to accept such propaganda.
Those rational people, please think about it: what kind of suicide could make Zhao Xin's 4th , 5th, and 6th cervical vertebras fracture and meanwhile cause her left eye to lose sight?
According to a person who had been detained in the Haiding District police station, the police there often tortured the convicted criminals by stamping their heels on the criminals' eyes.

Since September, the police, residential committees and workplaces in Tianjin became more and more unbridled in persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. One workplace had assigned a dozen of people to talk to one practitioner in order to make him give up Falun Dafa. They even claimed that all practitioners who refused to give up Falun Gong before September 10 would be removed from their posts and sent to a mental hospital.
Some departments and the police have become more and more irrational in persecuting practitioners. By completely ignoring the law, they ransacked the homes of the practitioners at will and even started to persecute those practitioners under age. Many people started to feel disgusted with what the government is doing. Plus getting to know the truth of Falun Gong, some people around the practitioners such as relatives, friends and colleagues expressed that they would not cooperate with the police in persecuting the practitioners. Some of them even encouraged the practitioners not to follow the will of those vicious police who appeared kind on the surface. They expressed their admiration of those practitioners who would rather suffer tortures than betray other fellow practitioners.
