Practitioners Report of Spreading Dafa in Texas Mid-Sized and Small Cities
Practitioners believe that Falun Dafa is the Great Law of the cosmos; it creates everything in the universe. The three words of "Zhen-Shan-Ren" (Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance) are opening the hearts of people of different races. The Buddha nature of millions of human beings is being brought out to break through the obstacles of various concepts, so as to be in sync with the cosmic characteristic of "Zhen-Shan-Ren," to tell good from evil, and to know right from wrong.
So far, Falun Dafa has established its effect in the hearts of more and more westerners. Since last year, the great benevolence and forbearance of Dafa practitioners in Mainland China have shaken everyone who has a good conscience. "What kind of belief lets them be so brave to appeal peacefully at the most dangerous Square in the world?" "What type of theory supports them to face suppression and death with a smile?" "Which power makes them endure, without any regret or hatred, the suffering of physical damage inflicted by police or public security?" Reports about Falun Gong by the western media have touched the heart of many nice people outside of China. More and more westerners are concerned about the Falun Gong situation, and they want to understand or even join the Falun Dafa cultivation practice.
Like in most mid-sized or small cities in North America, Europe, and Australia, there used to be no Falun Gong practice sites at Corpus Christi, McAllen, and Del Rio in Texas. Most residents there never heard about it before. Because of the Chinese governments cruel persecution of Falun Gong, people in these small cities began to be concerned about the situation. Some with the predestined relationship wished to understand more and wanted to learn Falun Dafa. Therefore, we started spreading the Dafa in these mid-sized and small cities.
We held seven Falun Dafa classes in Corpus Christi. Differing from early days, more and more new students understand that it contains more than just exercises, as Gong is inseparable from Fa. Through our telephone contacts, Falun Dafa books are now at the local bookstore. Recently the Corpus Christi mayor announced that August 5th is "Falun Dafa Day" in the city. That day we had another Falun Gong class. Around 20 people, ranging from teenagers to senior citizens over 70 year-old came to learn it. They felt comfortably relaxed in the strong energy field. Some even sensed the circulation of the Law Wheel all over the body. Through their own experience and reading the Falun Dafa books, people realize that Falun Dafa is good and is a truly righteous Fa, and they disapprove of Chinas suppression of Falun Gong. Our handout materials about Falun Dafa were well received. Many people said they wanted to take them home for family members to see. Now a Falun Gong practice site is established there.
Meanwhile, we started to spread the Fa in McAllen in late March. Palma, who helped arrange the Falun Gong class at the public library there, became a practitioner herself. She has set up a weekly Falun Dafa learning schedule, and each week there are newcomers. If there are any questions from new students, she will ask us for answers through e-mail. A new young beginner there said, "There are probably some people who dont understand why they should learn Falun Dafa. Its a matter of time. Sooner or later theyll know." Actually, more and more western people realize that Falun Dafa is precious. The McAllen mayor declared July 22nd as "Falun Dafa Day," while every Saturday is Falun Dafa Day at the citys public library.
Del Rio is a small city at the Mexican border. People there are pure and unsophisticated. Most speak Spanish. We have just started to spread Fa there and have held only three classes. Dose is almost 70 years old. He said that his friend mentioned Falun Gong to him before. But only after Chinas persecution of Falun Gong did he then decide to really understand whats going on. He contacted us by searching through the Internet and asked in his e-mail, "I would like to learn Falun Gong. You are closest to me. Can you help me?" This caused Falun Dafas spreading to Del Rio. A new practitioner, Lora, drove 150 miles to our practice site to share experiences. Another interesting thing happened. During our third Falun Gong class at Del Rio, there was a group of kids learning a Spanish dance upstairs of where we had the class. Knowing that we were doing exercises good for the body and mind, the dance teacher got interested and stopped her own dance class. Then she and the kids joined us and learned to do Falun Gong exercises right there with great interest. This dance teacher kept asking us to go back to Del Rio. Due to the citizens there benefiting from Falun Gong, the Mayor sent out a commendation letter to Falun Dafa on July 27th.
Falun Dafa with its set of exercises is open to people all over the world. One hundred million practitioners in China say that Falun Gong is good, while over 40 nations commend it. Just a few people in power inside the Chinese government suppress Falun Gong with vicious slander and brutality. The current national leader in China has not only pushed 100 million nice citizens to the governments opposite side but has also caused public resentment from people of good conscience. "They cannot stand Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truthfulness-Compassion- Forbearance). Arent they evil themselves?! Why should they be afraid of Zhen-Shan-Ren?!"
Outside China, westerners will not misunderstand Falun Dafa, because there is no market for nitpicking out of context and there is no gap for evil to fill in. When Dafa is presented in its entirety to the people, anyone with a little bit of conscience at least knows that Dafa is good; he or she will be able to tell the righteous from the evil. Mr. Alberto of Corpus Christi said it well, "I have read all information related to Falun Dafa on the Internet. Only the Chinese government badmouths it. Everything about Falun Dafa is upright. Ill not be influenced by the Chinese governments opinion."
Great physical and mental benefits brought by Falun Dafa to the western practitioners are the best rebuttal to Chinas vicious lies and slander. Thousands of westerners have felt the power of Dafa. Headaches, neck pains, and back pains have disappeared. Blood pressures were lowered. Appearances became younger. Canes and crutches are no longer needed. Stooping bodies have been straightened. Practitioners are full of energy, peaceful and comfortable; their families become harmonious, etc. So many countless miracles have happened in China. Millions and millions of cases are substantiated by strong evidence. They cannot argue with success and the facts are beyond debate.
Rita of San Antonio commented, "What mental control? Practicing Falun Gong enables me from reacting to leading my own life." Anita said, "My co-workers were surprised and asked me what changed me into a new person in one month--from a highly depressed to an open, bright and carefree person" "Its Falun Gong!" Patricia only attended the class once. She was learning the exercises at home via the instruction video and reading Zhuan Falun by herself. Upon our unscheduled encounter, she said happily, "My doctor was surprised that my stubbornly high blood pressure had normalized within such a short period of time. He asked me what magic medicine I took recently without his knowing it. I told him that I was so lucky to obtain Falun Dafa." Mr. George had been doing Taichi for decades. His left leg was not functioning well, and he needed a cane to help keep his body balanced when walking. At 50something, he looked like a 70 year-old. After learning Falun Gong for two weeks, George threw away his cane. Now he walks at a brisk pace and appears much younger than before. He remarked, "Before I would go home totally tired after work and only wanted to rest in bed. Now after work I go home and practice Falun Gong. I am full of energy. I deeply feel the power of Dafa."
Such are a few examples of Falun Dafa around us. Thousands of westerners have benefited from Falun Dafa. In the United States and other western countries where the news is clearly open, not even one case was reported that Falun Gong causes any damage. So the lies fabricated by the Chinese government that some Falun Gong adherents committed suicide, murdered, or voluntarily wounded themselves, etc. are obviously just groundless slander. Currently more and more nations are paying attention to the Chinese governments inhuman persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. More and more cities are praising Falun Dafa. More and more conscientious people are siding with righteousness and condemning the brutal tyranny happening in China. Those who deviate from the universal characteristic will reap what they sow.
