Just by chance, my daughter and I attended a get-together dinner with over 100 overseas Chinese. They were basically all young people. People sitting with us thought that I was very young, and could not believe that I am the father of a young girl at my daughters age. This naturally led us to talk about Falun Gong. I told them that not only does Falun Gong enable me to be free from several incurable diseases, but it also changes me from an oldster to a youngster.
When they knew that everyone present was practicing and cultivating Falun Gong, including people sitting at nearby tables, they were all shocked and surprised. They just stared at us because our appearance did not match with the smear on Falun Gong they had heard from the Chinese government. People at adjacent tables came over and were very interested to hear our true feelings and experiences about practicing and cultivating Falun Dafa, my personal experiences on April 25, and the Chinese governments bloody and cruel suppression of Dafa-Dizi after July 20. Also, some people kept asking questions like: How can your Shi-Fu (Master) live without collecting money? We did not anxiously reply to their questions immediately. Instead, we asked them how they made a living, how do schoolteachers make a living, and how do people in the rest of society make a living? Does it mean that the only way to make a living is by collecting money from others? They had no response. Then, I told them my understanding is that Master is not wealthy. Somebody asked: Does Falun Gong forbid practitioners to take medicine when they are sick? What is the real story about the death of 1400 people? I told them that it is not the case that Falun Gong does not let its practitioners take medicine. My daughter and I used to take medicine all the time, but when we decided to practice and cultivate Falun Dafa, all our diseases went away. Since practicing and cultivating Falun Gong for over 3 years, I have not taken a single pill. I am not sick, so why do I need to take pills? Is my facial complexion not as good as any one of you young folks here? Why is not being sick and therefore not taking medicines seen as a crime? Accordingly, doesnt this save the government a lot of money? Wouldnt those 1400 people have died even if they did not practice Falun Gong? Is it the responsibility of doctors that a lot of people die in the hospitals? To put it another way, by practicing and cultivating Falun Gong, their lives were absolutely extended. Otherwise, they would have died even sooner and in more pain.
Some said: Communist party members should not practice or cultivate Falun Gong because they already have their belief in the party. I asked to them: What are the requirements in the Communist Party Chapters for its members? Shouldn't a communist party member uphold and believe in the truth? When party members found Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance (Zhen-Shan-Ren) to be the absolute truth in the universe, why couldnt they believe in it? Does it only allow its members to bribe and corrupt, but not allow them to take the most righteous path?
Once they started to understand the truth of Falun Dafa, the atmosphere became more and more harmonious. The people, who initially spoke in anger, apologized and said sorry to us once they understood the truth about Falun Dafa. In the end, we told them: We are just practitioners of Falun Gong, and what we say doesnt represent Falun Gong. Please read the book Zhuan Falun if you want to understand the real Falun Gong. This ended our conversation.
Through experiencing this event, I realized that really, not only do some Chinese overseas not know the truth about Falun Gong, they are also greatly deceived by the stories made up by the Chinese government.
As Master said in the article Toward Completion, "Disciples are waiting to reach Consummation, and I can wait no more." Being a Dafa-Dizi living overseas, we also cannot wait any more. We must "Follow Teacher closely, steadfastly cultivating Dafa" and put down our fundamental attachments so that everywhere we go becomes the place for us to clarify and tell the truth about Falun Gong, and "Assist Master in the trip to this worldly world".
