A further protest has been planned by the Graduate Students' Union and Meditation Society to bring attention to the plight of Zhao Ming for 22 November. A postgraduate Computer Science student here until his arrest for involvement in the Falun Gong meditation movement on a visit home last December, Zhao is currently imprisoned in that country's Beijing Daxing County Male Labour Station. The "station" is one of thousands within China's network of brutal slave labour camps, which also produce goods for export and internal consumption, money from whose sale goes to the Chinese military. Zhao was transferred to the camp after he was rearrested on 13 May in Beijing after "leaving" house arrest in March.
