The 8th International Anti-Aging Conference & Exposition was held December 15-17 at the Venetian Multi-function Hall in Las Vegas. Several hundred clinicians and scientists from all over the world attended the three-day academic exchange. As a special honored guest of the conference, Falun Gong practitioner Dr. Jingduan Yang from the Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University gave a 45-minute speech entitled "Falun Gong--Effect on Health and Anti-Aging."
Dr. Jingduan Yang introduced Falun Gong's effects to the international medical circle. He began simply, speaking about Falun Gong's anti-aging effects, curative effects and keeping fit. His comments also addressed some of the more complex issues involved, making reference to his own experiences, individual case reviews, survey results, scientific experiments and various eastern and western medical theories.
The conference attendees were deeply impressed by his presentation. Afterwards, many doctors came over to our booth to obtain more information about Falun Dafa. A doctor from Israel was very happy to learn that there is a Falun Dafa practice site in his country. The Conference Chairman conveyed his congratulations to Doctor Jingduan Yang for his successful speech, and stated his hope that the scientific evidence of the positive effects of Falun Gong could be published in the international anti-aging journal. A doctor from Seattle could not understand why the Chinese government persecutes such a peaceful and beautiful practice and those who practice it. Another American doctor told us that his wife practices Falun Gong, so he attended the conference specifically to hear Dr. Yang's report.
During the conference, a journalist from International Anti-Aging Medical TV Net interviewed Dr. Jingduan Yang. The journalist expressed great interest in Falun Gong during the interview. He visited our booth specifically to film the display illustrating the five sets of exercises.
During the conference, we took the opportunity presented by the Doctor's visit to hold a symposium for local Chinese people. This helped to eliminate misunderstandings caused by the untrue propaganda spread by the Chinese government about Falun Gong.
