Mr. Xiong Xiuyou lived in the Third Group of Huangjiagou Village, Taiping Town, Gulin County, Sichuan Province. He was twice sentenced to prison terms for practicing Falun Dafa. Both terms were served in the Deyang City Prison. He died on December 16, 2007, while serving his second term in prison. His family has been threatened by the Prison Administration not to reveal any details of his death to the outside world.
