Case Description:
Ms. Zhang Shubin lived in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. She held a hunger strike while she was detained, and was force-fed through the nose many times. Her nose was injured as a result of the brutal force-feeding, turned into an abscess, and became cancerous in 2003. She died on July 12, 2007 at the age of 42.
