Case Description:
Ms. Cao Guimei, 69 years old, lived at Huanggu District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. Between July of 1999 and December of 2000, she was arrested twice and tortured at Longshan Forced Labor Camp. She went on a more than 40-day hunger strike and the guards force-fed her with salt water many times. Afterwards, Ms. Cao could not stop coughing and vomited blood for a month. She became emaciated. The authorities finally released Ms. Cao. She died at the end of 2002.
