Li Jian - 李俭
(Minghui.org) Ms. Li Jian was detained twice in Chongwen District Detention Center, and was force-fed there. She was arrested on April 16, 2000 and held for a year in the Daxing Women's Forced Labor Camp. She suffered various tortures, such as “flying an airplane”, kicking and beating, hours of continuous direct sun exposure, sleep derivation, etc. During the “flying an airplane” torture, her hands were cuffed behind, then forcefully lifted high. After she was release, she was still pursued by police, and had to flee her home to escape the harassment. Ms. Li was held at the Changping Brainwashing Center for four months in 2001 and forced to denounce her belief. It deeply hurt her mentally and physically. Her health continued to deteriorate and she passed away on June 17, 2007.
