Case Description:

(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Shurong lived in Haidian District, Beijing. She was arrested many times for her faith in Falun Gong.


She was given one and half years of forced labor on December 4, 2004.


Four officers, including Zhang Baojun, broke into her home in April 2002 and confiscated her Falun Gong books and MP3. They didn't show any search warrant or produce a list of confiscated items. They held Ms. Wang in a brainwashing center for 25 days, during which time she was abused to the point of having trouble walking.


The police kept harassing her at home. Her daughter was so traumatized that she developed high blood pressure.


Ms. Wang was sentenced to three years in prison with three years of probation in October 2013. She was ordered to report to the local police station once a week in the beginning of her probabtion. The requirement was later changed to calling the police station once a week to report her activities.


The local court extended her probation by six months when her initial term was up.


Ms. Wang died on September 15, 2016. She was 76.
