Xu Yuanxiang - 许远香
(Minghui.org) Ms. Xu Yuanxiang and her husband, Mr. Wang Zhixue, residents of Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, were both targeted for their faith in Falun Gong. Mr. Wang was arrested on November 20, 2013 and sentenced to 9 years. He is still serving time at Dujun Prison.
The couple's family business had to shut down after his arrest, leaving Ms. Xu struggling to support their two young children. Ms. Xu later found a job at a super market. The local police and street committee people promised to give her low-income subsidy if she renounced her faith in Falun Gong. She refused and was often harassed at home.
She filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin in 2015 and the police attempted to take her blood samples on two occassions.
The first time several officers broke into her home to take her blood sample, but they were unable to get any blood as she struggled to get away. They soon left.
Days later, the police called Ms. Xu to visit them to pick up a package that they alleged were mailed to her by her husband. She was puzzeld as to what her imprisoned husband could send her. She still went to the police station, but as soon as she arrived, she was held down and had her blood taken.
Ms. Xu and her older child were home one day when the police came and took her to the police station. Her child called her brother, who went to request her release. He noticed her face was red as if someone slapped her on the face. She didn't say what had happened to her.
In September 2017, she was at work when the police came and took her away. One officer was heard telling her boss to fire her.
Ms. Xu developed abnormal condition after she was released. Her nose bled, her teeth fell out, and her face became swollen. She coughed phflem and blood. No one knew what had happened to her during her detention.
She died a bit after 2 a.m. on December 9, 2017. The cause of her death was listed as lung contusion and laceration. She was 47.
