Case Description:
Mr. Zhang Xiangguo was from Changchun City, Jilin Province. He was mistreated many times after July 20, 1999, when the persecution began. In 2001, he was arrested and taken to the Xinglongshan Brainwashing Class. There he was abused, both mentally and physically. Due to a stroke and high blood pressure, he was released, but local police and the 610 Office continued to harass him at home, forcing him to become homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested. He died on April 21, 2005.
