(Clearwisdom.net) As "July 20^th", 2009, the tenth year of Falun Gong practitioners' resistance to the persecution approaches, Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners and other concerned groups held a rally and parade on July 12, 2009. The theme of the event was "Only with the Disintegration of the CCP can the Persecution be Stopped." A number of renowned persons addressed the rally. They expressed their admiration for Falun Gong practitioners' decade-long perseverance and rational resistance.

The rally was held at Cheung Sha Wan Playground. The Divine Land Marching Band, composed of more than a hundred Falun Gong practitioners, kicked off the rally.

Szeto Wah: All people of goodwill come to support Falun Gong

Alliance chairman Szeto Wah remarked that he admires Falun Gong practitioners' perseverance and dauntless determination which has been manifested from practicing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance over the past ten years.

Szeto Wah said, "In particular, the 'three withdrawals' movement they initiated strikes home, wins people's hearts, and plays an unpredictable and important role in disintegrating the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). That's why the CCP is afraid, it's a manifestation of an authoritarian dictator's cowardice. "

He added, "I believe that all the oppressed should support each other, so everybody who strives for freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law should be united and support Falun Gong. I call upon all people of goodwill, and all those who oppose the dictatorship to support you."

On July 20, 1999, former CCP head Jiang out of his jealousy, disregarding the opposition of other members of the politburo, together with a handful of CCP die-hard followers, launched a nationwide suppression of Falun Gong, and the genocidal persecution has never stopped even today. July 20 this year will mark the tenth year of the CCP's ruthless and brutal persecution and Falun Gong practitioners' persistent efforts to end it.

In the past ten years, the CCP has not succeeded in eradicating Falun Gong; instead, it has helped more people believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and more than 100 million people in 114 countries and regions are currently practicing Falun Gong.

Gao Dawei: It's most urgent to save people before the collapse of the CCP

Mr. Gao Dawei, Chairman of Global Service Center for Quitting the CCP addressed the rally through Internet phone. He pointed out, "Since the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published in November 2004, Falun Gong practitioners' truth-clarification has entered a new phase. We no longer lodge appeals to the CCP; instead, we comprehensively expose its crimes, its evil nature and its rogue origins. During the process, we help Chinese compatriots and the world's people who have been persecuted by it awaken from the CCP's lies and gain freedom."

Gao Dawei especially mentioned that in this historical juncture, the most urgent thing is to save people.

He added, "Hundreds of millions of Chinese compatriots have joined the CCP and its affiliated organizations, the future of such a large number of people is worrying, because they have all been marked by the evil Party. When the CCP collapse, they will go down with it, so we hope that the more than 57 million Chinese compatriots who have awakened will work together with us to do well the most urgent thing of saving people before the collapse of the CCP. Let us strive to completely disintegrate the CCP, stop the persecution, welcome the bright future of our Chinese nation, and bring real peace to the world."

Theresa Chu: 15 Global activities against the persecution

Theresa Chua, Human Rights Law Foundation Asia Director, made a special trip from Taiwan to take part in the event. She pointed out that Falun Gong has held 15 global anti-persecution activities in the past ten years, and all have won support and participation by the international community.

She listed some of the activities: For the signature collection campaign, 1.35 million righteous people in at least 133 countries stood up to show their support. In 2002 and 2003, Falun Gong practitioners in Hong Kong opposed the legislation of Article 23 of the Basic Law, and opposed the CCP extending the persecution to Hong Kong. Falun Gong has filed more than 50 lawsuits in over 30 countries, intending to bring Jiang Zemin and all the CCP officials who have actively participated in the persecution to justice. In 2004, Falun Gong practitioners started to hold global anti-torture exhibits around the world. Falun Gong practitioners have won strong support from Congress and local council meetings, and received over 300 resolutions. Since 2006, we have established the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong," the human rights coalition that supports Falun Gong. Over 400 political figures, and over a thousand celebrities have voluntarily joined the coalition.

Leung Kwok-hung: I hope that the one-party dictatorship will soon come to an end

Leung Kwok-hung, member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong and Law Wing-yin, the Convenor of the Democratic Party in Sai Kung, denounced the CCP's brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners and called upon everybody to work together to oppose the persecution. Leung said, "I do not have any religious belief, but I have no way not to support Falun Gong's resistance for freedom of belief. I hope the CCP's one-party dictatorship will soon come to an end, and (at that time) no one will feel fear any more."

Shen Ting, Chairperson of the Union of the Wronged People in China thanked Falun Gong practitioners and the three media outlets for their support for the appellants. She said, "Today, Falun Gong practitioners spread the truth to the whole world; their spirit has taken root in every corner of the world. Their spirit has profound significance and influence for the Union and the appellants."

In addition, Beijing human rights lawyer Wen Haibo and Mr. Jia Jia, Secretary General of the Science and Technology Experts Association of Shanxi Province addressed the rally through a recording. They expressed their support for Falun Gong practitioners' efforts. Mr. Wen praised Falun Gong practitioners' noble thoughts and said, "Through Falun Gong practitioners' continuous truth clarification to the society in the past years, many people have realized what the society we are living is like. It has played a decisive role in building a truly harmonious society and a society with real democracy and freedom."

Jia Jia: End the tyranny to stop the persecution

Mr. Jia Jia said, "Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are the moral impetus that human beings rely on to exist and make progress. In front of the CCP's violence and lies, Falun Gong practitioners have remained steadfast and upheld the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. They use sincerity to expose lies, use kindness to awaken conscience, use justice to conquer evil! I have truly realized that only by putting an end to the tyranny can the persecution be stopped."

Following the one and a half hour rally, a march of more than 800 people set off. The Divine Land Marching Band led the procession. All kinds of flags and banners fluttered in the wind, as the vigorous drumbeats of the band attracted many citizens and tourists on the parade route to stop to watch.

Hong Kong citizen Mr. Chen applauded the parade procession. He told the reporter, "I support Falun Gong. The CCP has unreasonably suppressed and killed a large number of innocent Falun Gong practitioners, and Heaven won't tolerate it. Currently, the CCP is the worst, most treacherous and the most dangerous."

Hong Kong citizen: Nine out of ten people hate the Communist Party

Mr. Chen continued by saying that he supports loving China, but doesn't necessarily love the Communist Party, because the CCP has caused the deaths of so many people. He supported spreading the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to exhort people to do the "three withdrawals. He said, "Honestly speaking, nine out of ten people hate the Communist Party, the only difference is that some people dare not speak out."

Many tourists from China were touched by the procession. They took many photos. Several women tourists saw Falun Gong's parade scene for the first time, and said it is of great significance. Hong Kong has freedom of speech, but it's impossible to have such things in China.

After more than a two hour march, the procession reached destination--Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier, and the one-day event came to an end.
