(Clearwisdom.net) From 2007 to 2008, the Shaanxi Province Women's Prison achieved a 70% rate of the so-called "transforming Falun Gong practitioners" requirement stipulated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Practitioners were brutally tortured during this process. They were illegally arrested, jailed, and detained in separate rooms where they were mentally and physically tortured. Practitioners were forced to read anti-Falun Gong books, watch television shows that slandered Dafa, and write repentance statements criticizing Falun Dafa. If they showed any disobedience, practitioners were tortured by prison inmates. Additionally, practitioners were not allowed to sleep, and were showered naked under cold water, electrically fanned, badly beaten, and also hit with electrified batons.

On December 20, 2008, prison education director Gu Guifen gave a lecture on the subject of "politics" in the prison building. She told practitioner inmates to come up to the podium and write in their own words the meaning of Chinese virtues, "Ren, Yi, Li, Zhi, Xin--Benevolence, Righteousness, Courtesy, Wisdom, Faith." When Ms. Wang Yuzhi, a practitioner, wrote down three characters, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance," Gu Guifen became furious and condemned Ms. Wang for "spreading Dafa" and ordered prison officials to focus their personnel against Falun Gong, in order to convert practitioners as "Reformed hard workers." After the meeting, Wang Yuzhi was again separated from the other prisoners and forced to write criticism on her own thoughts over and over again.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Hong was brutally beaten by guards; she was not only injected with unknown drugs, but was also injected three times with narcotic drugs for the purpose of getting her addicted, so that she could be forced to write a "repentance statement." However, the narcotic drugs didn't work on Ms. Wang, so prison guard Wei Chen instructed inmates Wang Ying, Xue Dongpo, and others to hit Ms. Wang with electric batons until she was unconscious. Only then were these inmates able to put Ms. Wang's fingerprints on a ready-made "repentance statement."

Furthermore, guard Wei Chen threatened practitioners with "your life will be the same as death." Those practitioners who signed "repentance statements" under extorted confessions were threatened and forced to smile when welcoming their superiors, so that the guards would win undeserved cash awards.
