(Clearwisdom.net) Teacher said in "Greetings" (May 17, 2009), "Walk the last steps of your path well and with determination, study the Fa well, and, with a foundation laid by your having cultivated well, your righteous thoughts will naturally grow stronger and you will surely do well with what Dafa disciples are supposed to do."
Practitioners are shouldering the mission of helping Master to save sentient beings. For the past ten years, practitioners have used every possible means to clarify the truth and assist people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. At the same time, practitioners maintain their everyday life in society. Cultivating well in a practitioner's everyday life is also important. I would like to share my understanding concerning this matter.
Cultivating ourselves well in everyday life is in fact another direct way to validate the Fa. If a practitioner is known as a good parent, respects the elderly, takes care of the children, establishes a harmonious relationship with family members and neighbors, takes his responsibilities at work and in society seriously, is considerate of others and displays high morality and xinxing level, then everyone who gets to know him will say that this practitioner is a good person and a role model for others. Some people say, "I don't know much about Falun Dafa. But I know Falun Dafa is good because you practitioners are good people." This establishes a good precedent in society and shows through actions and behavior the facts about the practice of Falun Gong.
I ran into a person who questioned me after I told him about the goodness of Falun Dafa. He said that practitioner A often fought with his family members. I explained to him that the practitioner was a person walking on the path of cultivation, that he has shortcomings or had not done well in certain aspects at the moment, but he will handle these correctly some day because he is a cultivator. We need to remember that he is a human, has shortcomings or makes mistakes because he is not a saint or sage.
This is a potential problem and could cause obstacles for everyday people to understand and learn the facts about Falun Dafa. I have no intention of blaming that practitioner. We are still cultivating after all. Besides having been made aware of this, I also need to look inward.
As practitioners, we don't have the concept of accumulating virtue, nor are we purposely looking for opportunities. But, the environment in which every practitioner lives is also a place for us to validate the Fa. We are the living representatives of Dafa for our families, workplaces and society at large. We are the live media and tools for fact clarification. We can through our actions and behavior help people understand the goodness of Dafa. For this, we must cultivate diligently. This is also helping Master save sentient beings.
I feel that the Fa rectifying the human world is getting closer. It is very urgent to assist Master to save people and cultivate ourselves well at the same time. We must meet the criteria to achieve consummation. If we do not pay attention to cultivating ourselves, it could bring damage to the effort of saving sentient beings. In the new article "Greetings," Teacher once again reminds us of the importance of studying the Fa well and cultivating ourselves.
