(Clearwisdom.net) The annual Cinco de Mayo Festival in San Jose, California was held on May 3. For the second time, Falun Gong practitioners were invited to the festivities.

A parade was held on May 3. The Divine Land Marching Band, consisting of more then 100 Falun Gong practitioners, performed in the parade. According to an organizer of the parade, Mario Sanchez, there were two Chinese groups in the parade. One was the Divine Land Marching Band, and the other one was the NTDTV float. Mr. Sanchez thanked the practitioners for their excellent performance. Another organizer, Dolores Marquez, also expressed her appreciation.
Many local citizens enjoyed the Divine Land Marching Band. Peggy said that the performance was impressive and the members' costumes were unique. When she learned about the persecution of Falun Gong, she said that the American government should help to put a stop to it. Michael Perez said that he liked the practitioners' performances and that he supports the practitioners' fighting for their beliefs.
