South Australia: Introducing Falun Dafa in Adelaide (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On May 9, 2009, Falun Gong practitioners from South Australia held activities in Adelaide to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and expose the persecution in China. Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and passed out informational materials. Many people accepted materials, and a number of Chinese people quit the communist party with practitioners' help.
Clarifying the truth
A Vietnamese girl was attracted to the exercises. She is a Buddhist. She said she could sense the peaceful energy of the exercises, and she wanted to come to the exercise site in the future.
Some Buddhists watched the group exercises. One gentleman asked why he can't calm down and reach tranquility when meditating. A practitioner showed him what Master Li said in Zhuan Falun, and gave him a brief introduction to Falun Gong. The gentleman was happy to hear that and accepted the materials.
A young man who had just come from China watched practitioners' activities for a long time. He asked them if the Australian government allows practitioners to hold activities like this. A practitioner told him that they had permission from the government, that Falun Gong has spread to 114 countries in the world, that Zhuan Falun has been translated to 38 languages, that Falun Gong has received more than 1000 awards and proclamations from different levels of government all over the world, and that only the Chinese Communist Party persecutes Falun Gong. Practitioners also told him that even in China many people, including some policemen, are opposed to the persecution, and some former government officials have stood up to expose the persecution, such as Chen Yonglin and Hao Fengjun. The young man admitted he didn't know any of that. Practitioners told him about the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and the trend of quitting the party. Before he left, practitioners told him, "Since you are now in a free society, you should take this chance to learn the truth." He agreed.
