I Have Experienced the Wonders of Looking Inward
(Clearwisdom.net) I obtained the Fa in 1998, and my elder sister obtained the Fa earlier than I did. Ever since I was a child, there have been some issues between my elder sister and I. Whatever faults she could find in me, she'd point them out. I found this to be difficult, and accepted it as a fact after a while. After I started practicing Falun Gong, this situation did not really change. She always found fault with me, often with harsh comments. I felt very unhappy, and even did not want to see her. If other people talked about my elder sister's faults, I would also talk about them, too. This created some misunderstandings about Dafa within my family, and my mother, who is not a practitioner, became quite upset with her practicing Falun Gong.
In recent months, I had some illness symptoms. I sent forth righteous thoughts, but this did not have much of an effect. With repeated hints from Teacher, I looked inward from time to time and found these mentalities towards my elder sister: jealousy, competitiveness, attachment to my reputation, not allowing others to talk about my faults, and a tendency to complain. I sent forth righteous thoughts and wanted to get rid of all of these attachments and be more tolerant towards my elder sister.
After I started thinking like that, I noticed that I became light-hearted and my illness of several months disappeared. Later on, I found out that my elder sister had changed her attitude towards my mother and began to care for her better. She also did not treat me as badly as she did before and began to show her compassion as a practitioner. My sister-in-law later asked my elder sister for a copy of Zhuan Falun.
Now, my elder sister and I go out together to clarify the truth. One of us sends forth righteous thoughts, and the other person clarifies the truth. We cooperate with each other very well and have been very successful with helping people withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. I have truly experienced the wonders of looking inward.
