(Clearwisdom.net) Returning to the West Coast for its Spring Tour 2009, Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Saturday May 9.

It Touched My Heart

Mr. Abel, who works for an entertainment group, joined the packed audience. He said the show was, "Fantastic. The Colors were vibrant. The music and lyrics were fabulous. Awesome performance! It was amazing. It touched my heart. It had me captivated from the moment I sat down to the very last performance. Everything was great, just a great thing."

Ms. Thomas, an attorney, said, "It was wonderful. I enjoyed the culture. I enjoyed learning about the history. I really enjoyed the elaborate costumes, the colors and the [dancing] technique. It was glorious."

She added, "It takes you from immense sadness and then to rejuvenation in the end when people finally found their way."

Ms. Thomas said about drum performances, "The rhythms and a whole slew of emotions ... with the tenors and the arias it was very emotional. I think you can definitely see the plight that people have endured through history. I didn't know what to expect. It was a lot more educational than I expected and just very elaborate. There were children behind me who were tapping their feet, the songs, the colors ... I think that everyone can learn from the history of the culture and the history of the time line."

Mr. Sandoval, an international real estate broker, also enjoyed the show. "It's great. I like the mixture of the performers with the musicians and the singers. Very, very nice."

He added, "The message for me [is] to encourage other people, when it's available again, to come and see it."

Shen Yun Both Cultural and Spiritual

Mr. Marshall, a citrus and avocado rancher from Fillmore, and Ms. Priepne, his assistant, were among the enthusiastic audience. Mr. Marshall said that they were enjoying the show very much. "Very nice, spectacular. It's very good--cultural and spiritual is very good. The whole show has been very good."

Ms. Priepne, originally from Indonesia, said, "Wow, it's very beautiful, and I love so much all the spiritual [content]. I cannot express how very beautiful it. I really like it."

She also enjoyed the cultural aspects of the show, saying enthusiastically, "Yes, I love it. I love every aspect, every dance; I love it so much."

Mr. Chan works in animation production for a broadcast company. He enjoyed the show saying, "It's great. It's really entertaining. The drumming was really cool, and the dance with the fans was really nice."
