Previously healthy Ms. Lu Shuling was detained in late 2007. After over a year of imprisonment, forced labor, and torture she was released in a mentally disoriented state.

Falun Gong Practitioners continue to be arrested and tortured.

On March 23, 2009, Ms. Wang Meiying, retired from Shandong Province, was tortured to death at Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp.

At the end of his long sentence Mr. Zhao is transferred to a detention center rather than released, despite the needs of his family.

Earlier publicized reports of abuses at this camp lead to further repression.

Under the pretext of the Beijing Olympics Games, CCP authorities in Weifang City, ShanDong Province sentenced 24 Falun Gong practitioners in prison, and 138 to forced labor camp.
