(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening on February 25, 2009, the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) International Company premiered in Taipei to a full house. The 5,000-year traditional Chinese culture presented by the DPA show was warmly welcomed by an appreciative audience. Mr. Lin, Chairman of the Polaris Securities Company, and his wife came to enjoy the show. They were deeply touched by the magnificent program, as well as the splendid visual and audio effects. Mr. Lin said, "I deeply felt DPA beaming with a sense of bliss and beauty."

Mr. Lin Xiaoda, chairman of the Polaris Securities Company

Mr. Lin said, "The dancers' every movement was very graceful, fully demonstrating the implications of our beautiful Chinese culture. The DPA show is indeed wonderful. I felt deeply the sense of aesthetic bliss presented in the show."

Mr. Lin added, "The DPA's dances are very exquisite and graceful; they are different from Western style dances. Because DPA presents authentic Chinese culture and this original culture across the two sides of the Taiwan Strait is identical, it is easy for the audience in Taiwan to appreciate and understand [the show]."

Mr. Lin expressed amazement at the 3-D, hi-tech backdrops. "I have never seen these kinds of backdrops. When the backdrops emerged during the dance, the overall space on-stage seemed to be enlarged, which was very different from what I have seen before--It was indeed marvelous!"

Mrs. Lin agreed, saying that DPA was amazing, and just watching it invoked a feeling of great happiness. She said that she could see that the dancers must have worked very hard.

Principal of an Arts School: I Have Heard So Many Great Things about DPA

Mr. Wang Zhicheng, a principal of an arts school, came to enjoy the show with his wife. Mr. Wang said he had heard the show was great, but DPA far exceeded his expectations.

Mr. Wang especially liked "Dance of the Yi." He said, "I have heard so many great things about DPA in the past. Today, I am very happy to have enjoyed such a great performance. I felt that this was even better than I expected!"

Mr. Wang felt that every aspect of DPA was amazing in its music, dances, costumes as well as the color coordination. He said, "The entire show was a visual enjoyment. The costumes were so elegant and beautiful. The backdrops worked perfectly with the themes. The performers were so in sync, such as "Dance of the Yi," it was such a beautiful picture."

Mr. Wang continued to praise the show, "The DPA show was very successful. Every performance was so perfect and complete. The entire show was so successful, from the visual effects, to the themes, to the audio effects." He added that he hoped his students would see this show, "I hope my students could learn from the arts and dances. I believe that everybody will have a wonderful impression of the DPA shows. This was so great!"

Vocalist: 'As if Heavenly Beings Were Dancing'

Among the audience was Ms. Chang Hsinchi, a vocalist trained in Italy. She was visibly moved by what was conveyed by DPA, and highly praised the show. She said, "Everyone has a hope in their heart, namely the desire for the arts to reach the level of perfection that exists in heaven. I am very touched that DPA is presenting this. Every role in this performance was portrayed very well. I am very moved by what was conveyed by the art itself, by the spirituality behind it."

Ms. Chang praised the dancers, "The dancers' body language and their thoughts together formed a kind of softness and gentleness. It was beautiful!"

Ms. Chang said that she has loved the arts and music since she was young. She attended Tunghai University and was later awarded first place at the National Vocal Competition. Later, with a grant from the government, she went to Italy to further her training. But, at the height of her abilities and in the midst of perfecting her talent abroad , she stopped because she saw imperfection, an imperfection in the arts. So she stopped; she left the music that she had trained for and instead went into cultivation. She said, "Actually, I have been researching the relationship between the arts and cultivation. I have also suffered before. I hope this powerful seed of the correlation between the arts and cultivation can touch each and every one of our hearts. I am looking forward to that."

Ms. Chang continued to share her understanding of spiritual matters, "I know that we all came with vows. I hope all these Bodhisattvas can come to this secular world, while achieving their hopes. A bridge between everyday people and Buddhas can be natural. Therefore, everyone is able to play a different and great role. Then, when we look back at the secular world again, we would be able to put down all our prejudices and treasure everyone's role."

She said that although she is not a Falun Gong practitioner, if she could help DPA in any way, she would love to and would dedicate herself to it. She said, "We can sense the importance between mankind and the universe, person and person, and just everything in our lives. Therefore, let us open our hearts."

Newspaper President: Beauty of Divine Performing Arts Is Celestial and Breathtaking

Ms. Wang Manfei, a well-known literary figure, came to watch DPA's opening show at the Taipei International Conference Center. Ms. Wang is also in charge of The Cross Strait Times. During her interview, she paid tribute to DPA's artists. She was very grateful to those involved for introducing the beauty of Divine Performing Arts to Taiwan. She was awed by the DPA performance and exclaimed, "Celestial beauty! Breathtaking beauty! It's really marvelous. There is neither a spoken language nor a written language to describe it."

She also discovered that the true spirit of ancient Chinese culture and traditions are being conveyed through these performances. "DPA truly presents divine manners, loyalty, piety, integrity, and justice through their dance. This divinity is most beautifully conveyed. Besides this, there are the costumes, music, and the plot being passed down from and gloriously presenting the five thousand years of Chinese culture. I am very happy to have seen this premier in Taipei!"

Ms. Wang has had a keen interest in traditional Chinese folk dances, and said that she was extremely moved by the DPA performances. "For example, there are the performances about "The Monkey King," "Monk Ji Gong," and "Mulan," as well as some folk dances. Looking at the dancers' movements, how I wish for a chance to return to my youth to dance in such an excellent way as DPA does!"

Ms. Wang highly praised the DPA performances. She said the DPA performance beautifully illustrated the implied meaning of its title. "Spirits, souls, and lasting charm seem to be expressed, even through the dancers' fingertips, movements, and costumes--and the backdrops. It's really marvelous that Buddha and gods seem to descend down to the secular world to help sentient beings. It was indeed breathtaking!"

Watching the DPA performance, Ms. Wang said, helps to elevate one's spiritual plane. She said, "It really inspires compassion in the audience members and enables them to have an understanding of reincarnation. When one understands that we reincarnate, or return, one dare not commit wrongdoing! DPA really elevates one's soul to the level of truthfulness, compassion, and beauty." Ms. Wang said if she were to use one sentence to describe DPA, it would be, "The beauty of DPA is indeed celestial and breathtaking!"
