(Clearwisdom.net) The New-York based Shen Yun Performing Arts Company performed before a packed theater at the Teatr Wielki W Lodzi (Lodz Grand Theater) in Lodz, Poland. Among the audience were Ms. Chadzynska, a violin teacher, and her younger sister, a music student.

They especially applauded for "Dance of the Yi," "Dragon Springs Drummers," Tenor Hong Ming singing "Rest in Knowing" and the scenes that told of modern day courage, "Dignity and Compassion" and "Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope."

Ms. Chadzynska wished that the performance was longer and was sorry when the show was over. Because she teaches violin, she was surprised by the erhu performance, "Hope." She said, "I was impressed with the dances, but because I am a violinist, I liked very much the two-stringed instrument. I cannot describe this instrument because I was sitting very far back in the balcony and I didn't see it clearly. It had a very interesting shape. I was with my younger sister, who is a pianist, and she saw only its shape but thought it had a very interesting sound."

Both sisters wore Chinese dress, both to honor the show and to show respect for the artists that had come to Europe. "Yes, these are clothes from China. Our father bought them on one of his trips " The younger Ms. Chadzynska said that she "attends a music school" and was amazed by the costumes and the color combinations.

Business Owner Moved to Tears

"The costumes--we really liked the dresses in three colors. I think that was the most beautiful," said Mr. Siedlecky, owner of a company.

He said, "The show is really amazing. I must admit that once I had tears in my eyes. It was very touching, especially the songs sung by the singers, and with Polish text for all to read. And that is what is waiting for us all, because a new era is coming, the era of human renewal. I think that this spectacular performance has come at the right time."

Mr. Siedlecki is "very interested in spiritual development." He has read about Falun Dafa, and said, "I frown that this movement was banned in China, because it was a spiritual awakening."

Shen Yun Has the Ability to Touch People's Hearts and Souls

Ms. Osuchowska is a Buddhist practitioner and an artist. Because of her background, she has a deep understanding of what she experienced. "I am very happy. For me, it's very special because I am a Buddhist practitioner and I practice meditation.

"I understand, because I see how this art is coming from a spiritual ground. This, for me, is so great ... I paint Buddhist art. I trained in Tibetan monasteries to paint the holy art, so it's so great for me. I saw they moved like Buddhas--how they moved was so interesting."

In Ms. Osuchowska's opinion, Shen Yun is divinely inspired and has the ability to touch people's hearts and souls. "This show is so great, because I can understand it. It's difficult to say in any language, but it is like a soul is moving this art. The show is great. My mind is dreaming. I agree with the expression in the show's presentation book, 'In order to create true art, first, an internal beauty is necessary.'"

"The values conveyed here are something this crazy world is missing"

Immediately after the show, Ms. Sklarska, a finance executive for a multinational company in Poland, shared her impressions: "I liked it very much. I liked the dance, the rhythm, and the colors."

She added, "I will recommend it to everyone. I think it was very inspiring, and, having seen it, I'm more interested in becoming familiar with Chinese culture and Chinese history."

Ms. Kossacka, owner of several high schools in Lodz, was also impressed by the dance performances. "It was a dance with a kind of mission, a dance that conveys something deeper than just body movements," she said.

Ms. Kossacka brought 70 students and faculty members with her to experience China's traditional heritage. She thought the performance would give children an opportunity to perceive China from a different angle. "To convey [knowledge] not in a book, not through text ... is the best education," she said.

Ms. Olejniczak, a school principal, agreed with her colleague and added that she liked the show, "because of the values conveyed [in the performance]. .... They are something that this crazy world is missing."
