(Clearwisdom.net) On December 29, 2004, I was arrested and detained by police from the Luoshan Precinct, on Deping Road, Shanghai due to reports made by people who did not know the truth of the persecution. Two days after the arrest, on December 31, the police ransacked my home, confiscating five sets of Falun Gong practice tapes, and one DVD exposing the staged Tiananmen Square self-immolation. At 4:00 a.m. I was transferred to the Shanghai City detention center, and 30 days later I was sent to another detention center. About 20 days after that, I was transferred to the Shanghai City Women's Forced Labor Camp for eighteen months, where I was placed in the First Team of the 5th Brigade.

In the forced labor camp, my normal schedule ran from 4:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.. The other prisoners, in contrast, normally wake at 6:00 a.m. and sleep at 8:00 p.m.. During the day, I was watched by criminal inmates, and made to read the labor camps' system of regulations and teaching materials in an effort to brainwash me. A week later, I was assigned to the First Team of the 5th Brigade, where I was forced to watch DVDs full of lies, as a means to brainwash me and force me to quit Falun Gong. Since I did not submit to their demands, I was forced to stay in a small cell, sit for extended periods on a small stool, and to write self-criticism essays.

After I had been there for thirty days, my legs became swollen and my blood pressure rose to 220. They wanted me to take some pills, but I refused, so I was taken to the hospital. When I was returned to the prison from the hospital, I was again placed with the First Team and forced to do physical labor, which I resisted. The brigade captain grabbed my collar and dragged me to her office, where she kept slapping my face left and right, and kicking my whole body. Again, I resisted, and again, I was put in a small cell and forced to sit on a small stool.

Later on, I was returned to the First Team for further persecution. I was released 18 months later. However, during that entire time, I did not give in, from beginning to end.
