(Clearwisdom.net) In late January, 2009, Ms. Fan Xiaoli, Ms. Liu Xiurong, Ms. Tian Fang, and Ms. Xiao Yonghua were taken to the Hohhot City Women's Prison in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region after receiving sentences from a local court.
On the morning of May 30, 2008, police officers from the State Security Division in Horqin District, the local 610 Office, the Defense Office, the Yongqing Police Station, along with staff members from the residents' committee, broke into Ms. Fan Xiaoli's home. They arrested Ms. Fan and another practitioner, Ms. Guo Shulan, and seized much of her personal property, including a computer. At noon, Guo Yingming and Jirimutu from the Horqin District Police Department, and Li Fengqin (female), director of the Yongqing Community residents' committee, went to Ms. Fan's parents' home. Ignoring her parents' objections, the police rampantly searched the home, and confiscated even the incense used for religious rituals.
In early June 2008, Ms. Liu Xiurong, Ms. Tian Fang and Ms. Tian Fang's father, Mr. Tian Fujin, along with her younger brother, Mr. Tian Shuangjiang, were also arrested by police officers from the State Security Division in Horqin District and the Yongqing Police Station. Later, Ms. Yang Fenglan, a retired teacher, Ms. Zhang Yuqin, Ms. Xiao Yonghua and her husband, Mr. Liu Jinghe, Mr. Li Xiangyu and his mother and two 70-year-old ladies were arrested, and their homes were searched and looted. Wang Bo, director of the State Security Division in Horqin District, has been involved in almost every case involving persecution. Ms. Zhao Shuyun was also arrested in Liaoning Province and is currently imprisoned at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.
Around July 20, 2008, Ms. Liu Yingna and Ms. Zhang Yan were arrested and their homes searched. Li Fengqin participated in the arrests. Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents deceived Ms. Zhang Yan's family by claiming that she would be released after the Olympic Games. However, she is still detained.
Among the detained practitioners, Ms. Fan Xiaoli, Ms. Guo Shulan, Ms. Liu Xiurong, Ms. Tian Fang, Mr. Tian Fujin, Ms. Xiao Yonghua, Mr. Liu Jinghe, Mr. Li Xiangyu, Ms. Yang Fenglan, Ms. Liu Yingna, and Ms. Zhang Yan have been detained at the Hexi Detention Center and subjected to severe mistreatment. Ms. Fan was injected with unknown drugs. Guards Shan Jun and Bao Wuyun testified against Ms. Tian Fang and she was sentenced based on fabricated charges.
Ms. Tang Liwen, 68, arrested in January 2008, was also detained in the Hexi Detention Center. She was tied to the death bed. She was also injected with unknown drugs, and as a result, she became mentally ill and could no longer take care of herself.
In June 2008, Mr. Li Xiangyu and Mr. Liu Jinghe were each sentenced to one and one-half years of forced labor. They are currently being subjected to persecution at the Tumuji Forced Labor Camp.
In August 2008, the following practitioners were transferred. Among them, Ms. Fan Xiaolin and Ms. Yang Fenglan were taken to the Baokang Detention Center; Ms. Liu Xiurong to the Ganqika Detention Center; and Ms. Tian Fang Naiman to the Prefecture Detention Center. Mr. Xie Hongtu, Mr. Bian Hongxiang, Mr. Liu Chunjie and Mr. Bian Lingyun, who went to Tongliao City to do temporary work, were arrested.
After November 3, 2008, the Horqin District Court began to try the following practitioners. On December 10, 2008, Mr. Tian Jinfu's family was sentenced to prison. Mr. Tian was sentenced to three years of imprisonment; his wife, Ms. Liu Xiurong, to four years; and his daughter, Ms. Tian Fang, to five years. The sentence was based on fabricated charges and included "undermining the government" and "violating the law". Ms. Fan Xiaoli was sentenced to five years of imprisonment; Ms. Xiao Yonghua and Yang Fenglan to four years; and Ms. Zhang Yan to three years.
Ms. Yang Fenglan and Ms. Zhang Yan appealed to a higher court. They continue to be subjected to mistreatment at the Hexi Detention Center. Ms. Fan Xiaoli, Ms. Liu Xiurong, Ms. Tian Fang, and Ms. Xiao Yonghua were transferred to Hohhot City Women's Prison before the lunar New Year in 2009. Ms. Tian Fang was released from the Hohhot City Women's Prison in September 2007. She had been detained for three and a half years. Within one year, she was arrested again and subjected to mistreatment at the same prison.
Ms. Tang Liwen is also detained in the Hohhot City Women's Prison. She was sentenced to seven years of imprisonment. Ms. Wang Xiuying has been detained there since 2004. She was also sentenced to seven years of imprisonment.
Mr. Tian Fujin and Mr. Han Naijun are detained at the Baoanzhao Prison. Mr. Han Naijun, arrested in June 2007, was sentenced to three years of imprisonment by the Tongliao City Court. He was also detained at the Hexi Detention Center after his arrest. He suffered from scabies, severe pain, and his vision deteriorated. At the prison he was forced to perform strenuous physical labor for more than ten hours each day.
