(Clearwisdom.net) Today's report relates persecution incidents that took place in 26 cities or counties in thirteen provinces. Twenty-six Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to brutal mistreatment during detention, and at least 41 practitioners were "illegally arrested".

1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zheng Lianqin, Mr. Chen Shenglong and His Wife Ms. Zhou Shuhua Arrested
Personnel from the Zhangzidao Town Police Station in Changhai County, Dalian City colluded with officers from the Dachangshan Domestic Security Division. They arrested Ms. Zheng Lianqin, Mr. Chen Shenglong and his wife Ms. Zou Shuhua at 10:00 a.m. on February 28, 2009. The officers held the three practitioners in the town police station and ransacked their homes. They confiscated a computer, a printer and other electronics from Mr. Chen's home, worth a total of more than 10,000 yuan. Then the persecutors transferred the practitioners to the Dachangshan Detention Center. Mr. Chen's 16-year-old teenager is left home alone.

2. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Hongchuan Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Police arrested 61-year-old Ms. Wu Hongchuan from Nanmeng Town, Bazhou City, Langfang City on July 27, 2008. She was later sentenced to three years in prison and is held in the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison. Her husband has to take care of an 85-year-old mother and his daughter while managing his business.
3. [Huaide County, Jilin Province] Persecution of Mr. Sui Fuxue
Personnel from the Yangchengzi Police Station arrested Mr. Sui Fuxue from his vegetable garden in Huaide County at noon on May 28, 2008. He has been held in the Gongzhuling City Detention Center for five months. Mr. Sui would not give up his Falun Gong practice and refused to write the so-called "five statements," (similar to the three statements) thus the police beat him ruthlessly, put him in handcuffs, and deprived him of sleep.
Officials from the city's Intermediate Court sentenced Mr. Sui to eight years in prison on October 10, 2008 and put him in the Jilin City No. 2 Prison's No. 11 Ward. All family visits have been denied, and the police even refused to hand him the clothes and shoes his family had delivered for him.
4. [Shangqiu City, Henan Province] Mr. Meng Jianshe Arrested
Mr. Meng Jianshe from Shangqiu City went to visit a non-practitioner friend on February 26, 2009, but the police followed him and arrested both of them. They are held in the city's police department, and their homes have been ransacked.
5. [Beijing] Mr. Cong Dawei and Mr. Liu Yujian Arrested
Personnel from the Beijing Police Department arrested Mr. Cong Dawei and sentenced him to two years of forced labor on December 4, 2008. He is held in the Beijing Forced Labor Personnel Dispatch Center.
Mr. Liu Yujian, arrested that same day, was put in the Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province.
6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Yunfeng and Ms. Bai Yun Arrested
Personnel from the Changchun City No. 1 Vehicle Factory's Silian Police Station arrested Mr. Wang Yunfeng and Ms. Bai Yun on February 23, 2009.
Mr. Zou Xiangyang was held in the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp and contracted tuberculosis. He was later released on bail. He now has bone tuberculosis in the vertebrae and right hand.

7. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Meng Xianjie and Ms. Pan Shurong Arrested
Qianjin Police Station chief Xu Xingyong and seven policemen arrested Mr. Meng Xianjie and Ms. Pan Shurong from the Qianjin Farm. The individuals are affiliated with the Sanjiang Farm Administration Bureau in Heilongjiang Province. The event happened the morning of March 1, 2009. The officers confiscated two computers, a printer and a CD burner.
8. [Heilongjiang Province] Atrocities in the Mudanjiang City Prison's No. 6 Ward
Guards in the Mudanjiang City Prison's No. 6 Ward often body-searched practitioners before the 2008 Olympic Games. Policemen Ge Hua and Wang Hui and detainee Xie Shide often beat practitioners. Policeman Zhang Qingshan shocked Mr. Guan Lianbin with electric batons. Policeman Zhao Lichun often abused Mr. Sun Chengshun and ordered criminals to confiscate practitioners' belongings.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Harbin City Police Department arrested Mr. Xiaoli, in his 30s, near Baojian Street in the Nangang District, Harbin City on the morning of February 28, 2009. His wife and Mr. Wei Liangyue, a lawyer, were also arrested.

10. [Shanghai] Mr. Zhu Shizhou Arrested in 2008
Mr. Zhu Shizhou, in his 40s, is from Jiangshu Province. He is a chef at the Chen Yun Memorial in Liantang Town, the Qingpu District, Shanghai. Personnel from the district police department arrested him in April 2008 because he sent a Falun Gong truth-clarification message through his cell phone. His current whereabouts are unknown.
11. [Wuji County, Hebei Province] Personnel from the Beisu Township Police Station Attempted to Arrest Mr. Zhang Shuangpai
Personnel from the Beisu Township Police Station and from the 610 Office in Wuji County attempted to arrest Mr. Zhang Shuangpai from Sixia Village, Beisu Township at 8:00 p.m. on February 16, 2009. They climbed over the yard wall, but Mr. Zhang escaped. The police then harassed his neighbors for two hours.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Yu Held in the Etouwan Brainwashing Center
Personnel from the Xingou Town Police Station's Xindongmian Office arrested 18-year-old Mr. Wang Yu from the Xindongmian Vegetable Market at 3:00 p.m. on February 17, 2009. The arrest happened when Mr. Wang distributed a Divine Performing Arts DVD in the market. The police first took him to the Dongxihu No. 1 Detention Center and then to the Etouwan Brainwashing Center on February 26, 2009.

13. [Guangdong Province] Mr. Guo Changcai and Ms. Huang Yanqun Arrested
Mr. Guo Changcai and Ms. Huang Yanqun from Guidong County, Hunan Province were arrested and are held in the county detention center.
14. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Mr. Zhang Jianhua Arrested
Officer Xiao Zhengyu from the Huada Police Station in Fuzhou City arrested Ms. Zhang Jianhua from the Cotton Factory's residential community on February 26, 2009. The policeman ransacked Ms. Zhang's home and confiscated a computer, a printer and some other items. She was put in the city's No. 1 Detention Center, in the No. 113 Cell.
In 2008, personnel from the police station arrested Mr. Zhao Fengrong, Ms. Chen Xiaohong, Ms. Li Liqin and Ms. Zhang.

15. [Linkou County, Heilongjiang Province] Persecution of Several Practitioners
The Linkou County Court sentenced Ms. Chen Yulan to five years in prison. She has been held in the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison since February 19, 2009. Mr. Song Junjie was sentenced to two years in prison and put into an unknown prison.
Several practitioners from Diaoling Town, Linkou County were sentenced to forced labor on August 8, 2008. They are Mr. Pu Tiegen, Ms. Huang Guiling, Ms. Zou Jinfeng, Ms. Gao Xia and Ms. Zhang Guiqin. Mr. Pu was sentenced to three years of forced labor. The others' sentences are unknown.
Mr. Tian Jirong, Ms. Ma Manli, Mr. Sun Zhuangwei, Ms. Xiu Shumin, Ms. Wang Aihong from Linkou County, Ms. Zhou Xiaojuan from Diaoling Town, and Mr. Ma Yunjie from Liushu Town were arrested at 4:00 a.m. on July 30, 2008. Mr. Ma was released after officials extorted money from her. Others practitioners were extorted for between 3,000 and 10,000 yuan, but are still being held.
16. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Officer Yang Qinghua and others from the Binhai Developmental District Police Department arrested Mr. Zhang Huasan, Mr. Chen Hongqi, Mr. Hao Wuzhong and his non-practitioner wife on February 28, 2009. Mr. Zhang was arrested at his own garage shop at 6:00 a.m., and the other three were arrested at their homes.
17. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Five Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Five practitioners including Mr. Wang Weidong, Mr. Wang Weiping and Mr. Chen Wenqing were arrested in Xi'an on May 28, 2008 and sentenced to four years in prison. They are reportedly being held in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province.
18. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhang Aimin Arrested in Beijing
Mr. Zhang Aimin, 55 years old, is a retired employee from a decoration company in Lanzhou City. He went to work in Beijing, but the police arrested him and put him in the Beijing Dispatch Section. He was eventually transferred to the Chaoyang District Detention Center. Detention center officials demand that his relative in Beijing pay them 300 yuan monthly.
19. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Heping and Ms. Zhu Yanmei Arrested
Mr. Yang Heping and Ms. Zhu Yanmei from Changli County, Qinhuangdao City were arrested on the morning of February 27, 2009. Policemen from Longjiadian Township and officers from the Changli County No.1 Street Administration Section ransacked their homes and put them into the county detention center.

20. [Tai'an City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested
Police arrested two older practitioners, one of them Ms. Liu Qixian from Chaoquan Town, Tai'an City on the afternoon of March 1, 2009. Their whereabouts are unknown.
21. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Dehua Arrested
Officer Zhao Shisheng from the Changle County Police Station and local policemen arrested 47-year-old Ms. Liu Dehua from Laoguanli Village, Wutu Town, Changle County at 11:00 a.m. on February 28, 2009.

22. [Huai'an County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Chaigoubao Town Police Station arrested 50-year-old Ms. Zhao Jinlan and 30-year-old Ms. Wang Jianli from Chaigoubao Town, Huai'an County on February 27, 2009. No. 1 Street Administrative Office chief Yan Suhai and several policemen ransacked the two women's homes.

23. [Shanghai] Ms. Ge Yijun Sentenced to One Year of Forced Labor
Ms. Ge Yijun from the Jing'an District, Shanghai was arrested during the Olympic Games and sentenced to one year of forced labor. She is held in the Qingpu Forced Labor Camp, and all family visits have been denied.
24. [Chongyi County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Lan Changying Arrested
Police arrested 60-year-old Ms. Lan Changying from Chongyi County on February 23, 2009 when she distributed Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. Her whereabouts are unknown. This was Ms. Lan's second recent arrest. She had just been released and had had 6,000 yuan extorted from her.
25. [Yunnan Province] Mr. Dong Zhikun Held in the Shuanglong Police Station
Mr. Dong Zhikun, a teacher from the Forest Professional School in Yunnan Province, was arrested near the Shuanglong Bridge in Kunming City and taken to the Shuanglong Police Station on February 28, 2009. Police ransacked his home on March 1, 2009. They told his family to send certain items of clothing to Mr. Dong at the Panlong District Domestic Security Division.
26. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Li Zuying Arrested
Ms. Li Zuying, born on August 28, 1941, is a retired employee from the Kunming City Government. She has been arrested four times, including twice in 2005, but both times was released the same day of the arrest.
Ms. Li was arrested again on November 20, 2007 for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials in the Xishan District, Kunming City. She was held for 30 days.
Plainclothes policeman Wen Yongxiang from the Xishan District Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Li at 3:00 p.m. on February 13, 2009. She was interrogated from 3:00 p.m. to midnight, and her home was ransacked. Police confiscated truth-clarifying materials. Ms. Li was transferred to the district detention center at midnight.
27. [Yunnan Province] Repeated Arrest of Mr. Zhang Liang
Mr. Zhang Liang, 55 years old, is a retired employee from the Longshan Mine in the Kunming City Steel Company. He was arrested and sentenced to two years and a month of forced labor on September 28, 2005 for distributing Falun Gong flyers in the Xishan District. Mr. Zhang was held in the Yunnan Province No. 2 Forced Labor Camp's No. 4 Division and released on October 23, 2007.
Plainclothes policemen from the district's Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Zhang again in a Construction Market in the district at 4:00 p.m. on January 1, 2009. They handcuffed him to a metal door overnight until 11:00 a.m. The next day, Mr. Zhang's hand and wrist were severely swollen. He was sent to the district detention center at 2:00 a.m. on January 3, 2009. Officers from the Domestic Security Division put Mr. Zhang in the Yunnan Province No. 2 Forced Labor Camp for a two-year term on February 4, 2009.
28. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Luo Taiyou Arrested
Ms. Luo Taiyou, a retired employee from the Door and Window Company in Yunnan Province was arrested at the Luoshiwan Outlet on the afternoon of February 12, 2009. Personnel from the Xishan District Domestic Security Division ransacked Ms. Luo's home and put her in the district detention center. Her husband was terrified when the police ransacked his home, and he is currently still traumatized and confused.
29. [Bejing] Ms. Chao Jiying Arrested
Police discovered Ms. Chao Jiying's cell phone number following the arrest of Mr. Gao Zhi; the police had confiscated his cell phone. They then arrested her and put her in the Miyun Detention Center, where she is still held.
30. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yuan Xiuli Arrested
Daotaiqiao Town Police Station deputy chief Wang Xiaodong and policeman Jiang Feng arrested Ms. Yuan Xiuli, a teacher from Yilan County No. 3 Middle School, on the afternoon of February 24, 2009. She is held at County No. 1 Detention Center.
