(Clearwisdom.net) Divine Performing Arts (DPA) World Tour performed one show at the Ohio Theater in the City of Columbous on March 8, 2009, earning a standing ovation after three curtain calls. The audience's response reflected the show's aim to present Chinese culture as it was meant to be, a study in grace, fluidity, and balance.

Vice President of a Health Company: "Just a Beautiful, Beautiful Experience"

Among the audience was Mr. Barattiero, vice-president of sales at a health products company. He thought the show was, "just a beautiful, beautiful experience."

"It is incredible. I would recommend anyone to come to this show. It's such a beautiful part of Chinese culture that many people don't get to experience or see, and I found it absolutely beautiful."

He continued, "The feeling and the dance and the colors, all the choreography are just wonderful, I can't think of any other word other than wonderful."

Mr. Barattiero said that the show opened his eyes to the beauty of Chinese culture, "I see stories through dance that bring the history of the culture and the beautiful simple parts of the culture to the world, parts that I never had the opportunity to experience. There is a beauty and purity to the culture. Throughout the whole performance, it has been beautiful, very beautiful."

"But of course I find beauty in it because it is talking so much about the purity of the soul and being one with goodness in general. I feel that here strongly. I feel that."

Mr. Barattiero added, "I would hope that people would want to become like that, to be peaceful and want to bless the lives of all the people around them and love--ultimately have love in their hearts for everyone--ultimately that's what I feel in this. It's a beautiful experience, just a beautiful experience. I have seen other plays and performances. But, I have never seen anything like this in my life. This is a very beautiful, spiritual, peaceful experience. It was wonderful, just wonderful."

Public Speaker: The Show "'Brings Hope During Troubling Times"'

Ms. James, an accomplished public speaker, shared her impressions after the show, "I loved it, it was just amazing, colorful, the costumes were incredible, the dancing, the music, I loved it. My two favorite dances were the one about the flower ['The Udumbara's Bloom'] and the one called 'Flowing Sleeves,' which was really great."

Ms. James said, "I think especially a great show like that can get people maybe out of the dreariness of life and just have a great experience. I like how the songs really tied into ... the environment, the divine, and that our lives have a purpose that's greater than ourselves. I think that's really important to always remember. It's not all about us; it's about serving the world and remembering God and our place in it."

Business Owner: "It Is a Wonderful Show"

Also in the audience was business owner and Japanese language teacher, Ms. Link, winner of the "2009 International Educator of the Year" award.

"I am having a great time this evening. It is a wonderful show. It is just very impressive on so many different levels, from the costumes to the musical instruments," she said.

She continued, "It is a great opportunity for central Ohio to see such a wonderful representation of both historical and modern culture. It is so difficult to choose just one favorite performance, I really enjoyed the last musical piece, but all the dance selections were also very impressive as well."

"I think that there are certainly some unique elements in the show that people don't often have the opportunity to experience. It is a wonderful way for people to connect on so many different levels."

Dentist: "I Was Enchanted by the Opera--the Tenors"

Dr. Torrealda, a dentist, also attended the show, said, "It's really good, it's interesting. The music is great, it's perfect. I was enchanted by the opera--the tenors. I loved them."

She was especially moved by "Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution," saying, "Principally, the part where the family is living happily and peacefully, and then comes the ... [communists] people of the revolution, violent people, coming to tear apart and separate families."

She was very aware the performers' dedication to their art, saying, "In regards to the music, in respect to their commitment, the performers can achieve what they desire. It's very beautiful."

Art Museum Docent: "Do You Think They'll Be Back Again Next Year?"

Ms. Bogue, who has been an art museum docent for 37 years, exclaimed that she "absolutely, really, really enjoyed the show."

She was impressed by the dance performance "Flowing Sleeves." "Oh, such masterful dancing, it was just fabulous. ... The rhythm of it was just terrific, and the colors--they were the most beautiful colors," she said.

Ms. Bogue mentioned, "I've always admired the diligence of the Chinese people, and it seems they're just endless in their search ... whether it's the arts, or any part of their culture."

She concluded the interview by saying, "You know there was a lot of practice, there was a lot of, what should I say, information ... I did thoroughly enjoy it; very, very much so."
